That's nice to know. None of my FÅ dvd's have the director's commentary, but then I wouldn't understand it anyway. My Swedish has improved but it's still limited to just a few phrases.

Although Moodysson’s focus on Agnes’ parents is limited to a minimum extent, the few scenes existing scenes are striking. Especially the conversation between Olof and Agnes about happiness and changes in life is remarkable. He acts like a caring father who attempts to understand his daughter’s situation. It is tragic that he is not capable of helping her.

It does make a nice change - and is a measure of the film's class - to see a parent (especially a dad) not portrayed as a completely clueless, insensitive pillock. :D
