Modysson had originally intended to use The Smiths' "I know it's over" as well as some Morrissey songs. Lukas is a Morrissey fan, and so is Agnes (see the posters in her bedroom).

Morrissey (or his management) refused.

He also wanted to use Bonnie Tyler's "Total eclipse of the heart", according to the trivia-section in the manuscript book.

it's a pitty that no morrissey song could have been taken.
