Heh heh, that's alright. My old RP never did that, so the new version is rather fancy in comparison. I wonder if it'll offer to do that on those svt things that are always such bitches to get hold of?

Do the six segments contain the whole movie, then? They say they're only ten minutes apiece, that can't be right, surely?

Mine does it for the svt stuff too, in fact with any clip it'll offer the download option. (My only negative thought is that maybe it has something to do with clips being Real rather than WIN that dvdflick does the "blip")

Although they say each segment ls only 10 or so mins in fact they are around 18 mins except for segment 6 (which is labled part 11 by the way :T ) which from memory is only about 7 mins. But the whole film is there, English subtitles and all.

Ah, excellent (on both counts!). I had no idea Real Player had gotten so sophisticated!

The picture quality does look rather better than the one on YT, so hopefully it'll look okay on tv.

If it is the fact that it's Real clips causing the blip, I guess we'll find out! My only gripe with DVD Flick is, that if you put the maximum 50 files on it, it for some reason 'skips over' clip 49. You can go back to it, but it's still a little annoying. It doesn't do it if you've got 45 on it or whatever, though. Otherwise it seems terrific.

Still, on with the downloading! :D

Have now downloaded and Flick'd Sherdil. Picture quality is excellent, will watch it next weekend.

In other news, I believe I have witnessed Fish's fabled 'blip'.

Nice to know I'll go down in history, even if it's just to serve as a bad example to everyone else.

And therefore it was written, that henceforth the DVD Flick blip shall be known as...

"Fish's Fault".

Maybe if you first convert the downloaded files to another format like win, before converting it a second time using Flick ?

Maybe this'll get rid of the blip you're talking about?

Worth a try at least I'd say :)

It is indeed. I'll give it a try later today.
Thanks. ^O^

I had a really weird Rebecka dream last night. Usually I remember nothing of dreams or else I recall lots of details. To cut a long story short, someone told me I had to meet my friend Jane in a new diner place. She had been working on a voluntary project and needed to hand in her portfolio to qualify as a credit. The diner place was weird, very ultra modern. I went in and this girl called me over. She said she was Jane but quite clearly she was Rebecka :? . I sat next to her.

She had her portfolio folder with her. It was all over the place, typed notes, photographs, newspaper cuttings, a mess. I offered to help her put it in order. The manager of the diner interrupted. I just ordered some fries but Rebecka/Jane ordered a ‘homemade’ burger. The manager said he was sorry but it would take at least three quarters of an hour to prepare. Rebecka/Jane gave him a strong mouthful in Swedish. :x It was then I knew for sure it was really Rebecka. The manager scuttled off.

I kept looking at her and she (Rebecka/Jane) said did I notice anything different about her? (like f*ck I did!!). She said she’d just had her hair done differently. It looked long and lank but very soft and shiny. 8) I ran my fingers through her hair and it was like the sensation of letting soft dry fine sand run through your fingers :) . She blinked a lot when I did this but didn’t move away. Rebecka then said she was using some new shampoo and to get closer to smell the effect. :o

I put my arms round her right shoulder (she was sitting to the left of me) then drew her to me. He hair smelled wonderful, a mixture of apples, mint and chocolate. :) I kissed her on the cheek. She giggled but didn’t pull back :D . I breathed in her hair aroma again and then naughtily nibbled her ear lobe and she laughed  . I pulled back myself as I was afraid I was so hungry I was really going to bite her and take a chunk out of her. :?

The food arrived and it was OK. Rebecka’s burger was huge and juicy, and she ate messily sucking her fingers in between bites. I flicked through her portfolio, in between pecking at french fries drenched in chocolate sauce. :? Rebecka told me with nods and winks  , that we could go back to her place and ‘finish off ’ there  . We could go up to her room and we wouldn’t ‘be disturbed’ .

I was kind of blushing and bumbling trying to keep pace with events. The only other customer, a guy from another table came over. He said he didn’t rate the diner much. Rebecka disagreed. The guy leaned over and whispered in my ear. He told me he was an Environmental Health Officer working undercover. He also whispered that the diner illegally uses horsemeat for its burgers. He went. I was confused and mortified. Rebecka was there sinking her teeth into a Sherdilburger  . Should I tell her or no?

I woke up in a panic. :(

I think you may have slumbered/stumbled onto a new and exciting branch of the "Rebecka" story here. Glad to hear that chocolate sauce was involved again, so may I advise that you keep taking the ch s and try to advance the dream into a full on story line.

On the down side I am a bit distressed that in your dream it was you, rather than me, who got to kiss her though.

I so rarely remember my dreams, and the more I want to, the less I do.

I feel a quote from Life of Brian coming on: "You lucky, lucky *******!"

I had a half-asleep dream, more a musing really. It's cos I had to have an early night last night cos I was looking after a polling station for the Euro elections (from 6.00am). Everyone knows this will be the lowest turnout EVER cos of everyone being disgusted at the politician :x scandals here. It occured to me that as I had a whole stack of ballot papers AND the official stamp, I could just pass the day forging write-in votes for Alexandra Dahlstrom. I just thought it was funny if she was elected a MEP for UK East Midlands constituency by declamation  or would she be pissed off with me?

Got it in one I suspect.

I just can't see Alexandra getting involed with a bunch of loons........Then again, we'd like her to be involved with us, eh?

I think this is a perfect circular reference. :P

Mm, yes, the "blip" on my Sherdil was not so much a blip as a full-on bloomin' cock-up. Get to the climax, and... it just froze and refused to carry on. I had to watch the rest of the film on the computer from the original file. Though then when I tried the dvd, that seemed to work on the computer too, though not on the player.

(bangs head against wall repeatedly)
