I don't know that you're doing anything wrong. I think that's the first time you posted one I couldn't see.

What I do/did is this:
Arrange for a site to store your pics (for free). I use ImageShack but there seem to be plenty of others around. http://imageshack.us/

Save any pics you like to your hard drive. Then upload them to your storage site.
Then it's just clicking a few easy buttons to post them to the forum.

So simple even I can do it.
