Spelling has never been your strong point, has it?

Oddly enough, that's not true. I was always very good at spelling.



It was maths I sucked at.

Very few are good at both [including me!]. I think maths is spoiled for a lot of people by crap teaching, though. A teacher like Youtube/Khan Academy's vihart, for example, could make all the difference, if you could get her to slow down a bit

More folks seem to have bad patterns around maths than drawing, even, which is saying something.

It also helped having a overly strict teacher, passing on fear of not being prepared.
Then again, we just wanted to forget and supress all math knowledge after last semester, so what good is it now...

Luckily for me I was equally inept at spelling, maths and art, so I had a pretty balanced education.

I don't recall having bad maths teachers, tbh. I just plain sucked at anything beyond basic arithmetic.

It was French where I had the bad teacher. She was something of a nutjob, students at the other end of the class would be being disruptive, and she'd shout and scream and throw rulers... in the opposite direction.

I'd like to try something French with Bex, mind.

Teenagers can be quite a handfull, no wonder perfectly normal people who starts out teaching, develops into nutjobs.
I mean, I remember in a few of my classes back in the day. In hindsight, I sincerely feel sorry for those teachers.

My French teacher was a mad Scotsman with a broad Scottish accent.

I think she looks rather pleased/flattered there, actually.

She is beautiful as always, with that perfect Cupid's-bow mouth, but ugh - that trowelled-on TV makeup.

Well, with the studio lighting and all, a little make up is necessary to avoid to much paleness in the face.

But, on the other hand, she could be spray painted purple and still look beautiful.

Oh, if only I'd thought to put a purple rinse through this pic.



Last time I was interviewed on TV I got no make up at all.
I think they wanted me to look like a criminal.

Looks alright to me.
