There's a certain vocabulary special to the surfing world.
One of the best words is "stoked".
To be "stoked" is to have a high, an adrenalin rush.
For instance for a beginner the first time you feel the power of a wave lift and carry you and your board it's such a high that you're "stoked".
Later it's when you surf well in excellent surf.
It's always accompanied by a "Whoa, I want more of that" feeling.

The first time I ever watched Fucking Åmål I had that same feeling when I saw this scene.
