For some unaccountable reason I was unable to convince scanpix.no that I either owned a newspaper or ran a Scandinavian travel agency which needed access to its photo library.

And scanpix.se just referred me to a facility in Australia, (and I know they have heaps more Bex and Alex pics than the Norwegian site 'cause I could see the numbers, but not the pics.) :x

The Aussie site has nothing of interest. *:|*

So there you have it. No one wants either me or my money. :( *:|*

I wish I could get rid of the "scanpix" mark on these two though. Wow. :)P :)P

Was wondering how was your quest proceeding. Time to get involved, then? Maybe start a business? Talented writers around. That would be a great way to get that longed for interview too! (Think I'm just a little too obsessed with this interview thing...)

Not really sure how could this agency biz help with that interview, but yeah, you could almost certainly get the pics! *:)* :)P

There seems to be a very closed shop to anything not Scandinavian, which was disappointing, so my lies about an "in house travel magazine" carried no weight what so ever. *:|*

All of the pics in the Swedish site seem to be in the "Editorial" folio whereas the ones I found on the Norwegian site were just in the "Creative" one. You can't get into the "Editorial" without being a member.

Relying on Google to translate everything didn't help either.

It would be nice if you could find a way inside Scanpix, Juule. There's bound to be lots of new stuff there, but be careful of any costs because Scanpix is a commercial enterprise making its money from selling photos. I'm not sure what charges would apply to a "non-profit" organisation, like a charity or something, so that may be an avenue to explore.

Good luck. If there's anything I can do to help please let me know.

Would there be any mileage in asking Ole to get involved? I think they run tourist acommodation as a sideline to the farm business.

Excellent idea with a lot of potential.
I'm guessing he still pops in from time to time and might see this topic, but Ian, do you think there's any way to delicately broach the subject by PM or something? I mean, you being a demi-god and all. :D :P

Maybe I sounded a bit more enthusiastic than I thought... Or intended...

But well, as I opened my mouth, I think I should at least give it a try. Don't know, fish, if there's anything to do after your work, though. I've had an impression that you're kind of thorough (in what you do).

But I'll dig into it. You'll never know what happens if I stir things enough... maybe someone at Scanpix gets fed up and grants me access to anywhere! :D

Well, maybe not. :N It'll probably end up with a situation where nobody will ever get access to pics we'd like to see. *:|* Perhaps a gentle, cautious approach is the way to go.

snaps' idea, however, is a great one. Might really work. :Y

You could give it a try, fish. He doesn't bite, you know.

I don't really understand what I'd be talking about, to be honest. :?: :T
