It's a campaign by a swedish newspaper. Thing is, in the Swedish elections last week a populist-anti-immigration-bordering-on-racist party got into parliament, something that has shocked and upset a lot of people (including me!). So the "we like different" is a campaign for all of the Swedes who, well, like the multi-cultural society and don't necessarliy want to throw all the muslims out of the country .

I'm personally pretty pissed of about the whole thing, and I don't want Sweden to follow the extremist-right-wing wave that is growing in Europe right now. It's pretty scary actually. I mean, this continent, with our history and everything?

It's so stupid too. These people need to focus their resentment in the right place - like governments and their corporate paymasters sucking up everything and leaving crumbs for everyone else.

Nah, that's too difficult and we're too thick, let's pick on people who look/dress differently instead.

Good to know Alex has such brains and class. Not that I never doubted it.

I am rather disappointed that it wasn't a message to us, mind.

I think we need a similar campaign here in Australia.
In our recent elections it seemed to be a contest as to which party could be the more xenophobic. Looks like there's a huge lurch to the extreme right all around the globe. Very, very scary if you ask me.
