Heard a review on some Swedish radio program a few days ago, 3 film critics were talking about Blondie.
They all pretty much agreed on the conclusion, that the film started promising, with lots of potential, but the final product was just avrage. *:|*
A ambitious project which didn't quite deliver.

It scored best on overall very good acting, and the chemistry between them, which obviously is important since it's a character driven drama. Also beautiful cinematography, but the plot gets more and more boring and vague throughout the film, and too many questions are left unanswered.
They wanted to see more of Alex's character though, which means she gave a good preformance *:)* , but also that she's not given enough screentime and focus.

They rated it 3 out of 6.

But, like Fish pointed out, looking forward to seeing it nonetheless! :D

That seems pretty typical of the reviews so far, but as you say, "looking forward to seeing it nonetheless!" *:)*

All that artificial sunlight sure brings out the colour of her lovely bikini. *:)*
Phew! I was afraid I'd get that all wrong and embarass myself.

Yeah anything really from the two leads of Fucking Amal i'll watch the once even if it isn't great. Its at least good Alexandra been given film roles, is this her first really big role in years isn't it?. At least Alex was mentioned as the reviews i've read say she's the least interesting of the sisters. It sounds like a film that will be worth watching once but will join the rest of her post Fucking Amal efforts as been "Not as Good as F.A".

Lets hope Astro gives her a far more interesting role and film

I'm with you on this Ian but at the start i taught Blondie wouldhave been her big step out of the shadow of Fucking Amal.

It seems more in the vain of Lost in Translation mixed with Fucking Amal with a splash of Spike Jonze/Charlie Kauffman works.

It seems the more fun of the two films she's done this year. Plus the one big notice is that she's the LEAD of the film, meaning a bigger role. Here's hoping it gets a decent sized release or a Dvd release.

I certainly hope there's a dvd release of both films.

Ok, going backwards in time.... there's been that episode of "Cover Affairs", "Astro", "Blondie", "She's Staging It", "She's Blonde Like Me", what was before that :? , Spindelgången (?), then what?
Lots of projects over the last few years but most seem to have had "issues" which delayed things or caused the project to be downgraded.

Still, it's a fair amount of w*rk when you also look at the shortfilms and music vids she's been making herself.
I'd say she's been pretty busy.
I just wish I could find dvd's of everything 'cause I'd love to buy them all. *:)*

Even "Sleepytime" Alex can't help being a chick magnet. *:)* *:)* *:)* :P

I think its the lack of Dvd releases which have derailed her a little. "She's Staging it" and "She's Blonde like me" i haven't of before.
She's been busy alright just not on projects with directors that have a big following.

There are links here to She's Staging It" and Magnus was able to upload SBLM to a file sharing site where we could download it.
(Or was it the other way round :? )
Don't know if the links are still OK or not though.
These were the first two films in director Fia-Stina Sandlund's trilogy based on August Strindberg's play "Miss Julie".
I liked them both but then it may have just been the "Alex factor" at w*rk on me.

I've never been able to find them on dvd but they still appear at film festivals around Europe. :(

I really hope Astro will be available to add to my collection though. *:)*

Hopefully.

You know what statles me, and is quite surprising, is there's absolutley no Swedish articles or mentions (at least I haven't found anything) of Astro. If as much as a norwegian cameraman is involved in a film somewhere outside Europe, it'll find it's way to the newspapers.
I guess the swedes are more used to shipping great actors/actresses out to the world ( Stellan, Stormare, Rapace ecc), they don't even notice when one of their own is starring in foreign films.

That really is surprising.
OK, if it was the USA it might be a case of "Oh well, there goes another one", but making a film in Brazil is something not many other Swedes have done so I'd think it would deserve a mention in the press. *:|*
