"Astro movie premiere: November 2, 2012

Astro (Alexandra Dahlström) is a young woman, daughter of a Brazilian mother and Swedish father, who comes to Brazil to inherit a mansion and ends up staying longer than she thought. It is then that Alice (Veronica Debom) and her friends cross her life and she slowly begins to awaken."

I'm really looking forward to seeing Astro. *:)*

And here's the Toronto International Film Festival page for Blondie. http://tiff.net/filmsandschedules/tiff/2012/blondie
The more I read, the more I want to see this film as well. *:)*

Here's an review of Blondie from the Venice festival, a rather bad review though. *:|*
http://blogs.indiewire.com/theplaylist/review-blondie-a-promising-swedish-family-drama-that-gets-less-interesting-as-it-goes-on-20120903

It praises the first part of the film, saying it looks promesing from the opening and so on, but gradually gets worse .

One bad review does'nt necessarily mean much, lets just hope this on is mistaken.

"Den retta" seems pretty cool, I like that she is still directing. And writing. And Producing! Is she doing the entire thing by herself :!: :?:

There's a much better review here http://www.screendaily.com/reviews/the-latest/-blondie/5045970.article
which you can also access from here http://blondiethefilm.com/

Blondiethefilm is an interesting site too. Well worth a browse. *:)*

I haven't had a chance to check out Den Rätta yet.
At this stage all I've found is the Filmbasen article. :|

Plus as i feared going by that decent review (yes it knocks the final act but overall its a decent review) Alexandra doesn't have a major role and is sadly pushed to the background as the two older sister are the films main characters. At least the Critic said Alexandra is adorable but once again brings up Fucking amal which lets be honest she's never going to escape that shadow.

She's acting in it as well i believe as the main female lead. I like that she's working on wanting to be a writer/director and hopefully she's working on afeature length script cause she's made quite a few shorts now.

Going by the two reviews Alexandra does seem to have the less interesting role out of the three sisters sadly :( . But they say she's engaging and likeable in the role so at least she's not a out right flop in her role.

No mention of Blondie in any of the critics final voting at Venice.
However one critic gave a 5th place mention in the best supporting performance category to a certain Alexandra Dahlström. :D
Way to go Alex. *:)*

But I wish you'd used a more in-focus pic for your new Facebook profile. :P

Not bad going doesn't seem the film has the world alight but at least it got to Venice.

Just because a film doesn't set the world alight on its first day doesn't mean it isn't a good film.
There's just so much buying power in the English speaking market that it's difficult, almost impossible, for "non-English" language films to do well at festivals, and that's to the shame of the moguls who decide that English speaking audiences won't support a film with sub-titles.

A good film will still be a good film regardless of the language.
Hell, I'm prepared to put in a bit of effort. *:)*
