The doll is nice. :D
The voodoo lessons, not so nice.

I'd like to say that Alex enjoyed the "First day of spring Fishfest" yesterday. *:)*
And while it was a beautiful mid-20°s day, it still wasn't quite warm enough for the pool.

Great day though.
The only thing that was missing was Alex. :(

Yes, I've felt that Autumn chill a few times lately, at night.

Not entirely unwelcome, either, after the suffocating humidity of a city summer.

A cure for an autumn chill?

25° on Sunday, then 3 days in a row of 30° or more.
The hottest start to spring on record for Adelaide.
I'm sick of it already. :r

The summer will be missed, but it's time to start looking forward for snowy winter now.
I'm sure Alex can help us keep warm.

Winter in Manchester is cold wind and rain, with months of grey skies. Any snow blows right overhead, deflected by the Pennine hills and the fact that Manc is in a sort of shallow bowl, so that when the rest of the country in chest deep in snow we get a miserable little dusting that rapidly turns to dirty slush, and continue with our drear little micro-climate. There can be few places in the world that make a more appropriate setting for severe depression. So if you can be happy here, you can probably be happy in Chernobyl.

Sounds like Manchester would be right at home on the forum after some of the posts I've seen.
Not now of course. :N
I meant in the long distant past.
Honest. :Y :P

Alex: "I'll be the judge of that."

Mostly I enjoy our winters.
We occasionally get a little bit of snow up in the hills, but it never lasts very long.
Most of the time the maximum temperature is in the mid teens, perhaps a little lower in August, but this really is a beautiful climate.

Except for the summer heatwaves of 40° or more. :r :T
