Caught most of the film "Jennifer's Body" last night.

Jennifer turns into a flesh eating, non-dead sort of person. Megan Fox plays Jennifer.
Her best friend Anita is played by Amanda Seyfried.

Stupid plot, you know the sort of thing, high school cheerleader becomes a virgin sacrifice by a rock band, but, what a surprise, she's not a virgin, so instead of dying she becomes a flesh eater. Happens every day.

They main reason I kept watching was that I wanted Megan and Amanda to kiss. Again.
Or, as was put in the film, "I could stay here and we could play "boyfriend and girlfriend" again."

Why else would you keep watching it?

Doctor Who - Horror of Fang Rock. Still one of my all time faves, a wonderfully atmospheric, claustrophobic little spinechiller. There's not many stories where all the guest cast end up dead before the end credits! It's a great story for Leela too. Whether she's starting to get undressed in front of a mortified Vince, threatening Lord Palmerdale at knife point ("Silence! You will do as the Doctor instructs or I will cut out your heart!") or gloating over the dying monster at the end, she's absolutely wonderful. The music's great too.

A true classic.

Tom Baker. On ripper form, too. I'm particularly fond of the bit where he informs the shipwrecked toffs that "This lighthouse is under attack and by morning we might all be dead." With a broad grin on his face.

It must have been your psychic powers but I noticed an old episode on the SciFi channel with Tom Baker as DW and Leela as the assistant without a lot of clothes.

No idea what the episode was about as I only watched it for a minute, but I was right, Leela is cute.

She had lots of clothes on in Fang Rock, I'm afraid. Well, it was set in Victorian times.


Picked up vol 2 of the Swedish Wallander series from the library yesterday. They had 4 too, but I refrained given there's 7 on each! I'll have to check and see if they have 1 and 3 later too. Cheaper than buying 'em!

Your library has a supply of Swedish DVD's??????

I imagine so. It's the one we were on about on SBS last year, but I only caught the last few before it finished.

I was amazed they had it, too! I wasn't looking for it.


Saw Doctor Who - The Invisible Enemy last night. Mm, not a favourite. Entertaining enough for the first couple of episodes, but then gets very silly and a bit dull. The Fantastic Voyage rip-off stuff is just embarrassing. I did laugh at Leela's solution to the problem, though. "Knife them in the neck!"

Recorded about a week ago, watched a few hours ago.

DW. The hotel with all the rooms and changing corridors and the minotaur thingy.

Pretty good until he left Amy on earth at the end.

Hope that wasn't a real "end of the Amy era" thing.

Given that she even managed to be in the very next episode (albeit briefly) I'm guessing probably not.

Saw The Wedding of River Song this morning. A very enjoyable finale, for the most part (though, like the season as a whole, not as good as last years). Amy getting even with Kovarian was way cool (though since it didn't really happen, I guess she could be back). The call about the death of the Brig was very . The solution to the Doctor's "death" was laugh out loud funny and we really should have seen it coming!

Was that on't' telly or did you have it recorded?
If Amy's to be written out of the series I want to see every bit of her.
Errr, so to speak.
