First two seasons were late 60s and black and white, seasons three and four were early 70s and in colour (just like 60s/70s Doctor Who).

Remember the swinging lightbulb at the beginning of each episode?
Remind anyone of a certain Swedish film? *:)* *:)*

Neighbours 1985, Paul and Terri's wedding. I was rather amused by Jim just opening what he'd been told was a bomb underneath his house, basically because "Oh, I'm sick of this." LOL What a badass.

Delighted to hear that a second season of The Tunnel has been ordered, to start shooting next month for airing early 2016, with both Clemence Poesy and Stephen Dillane returning. *:)* *:)* *:)*
The first season was excellent. They don't half take their time to decide on new seasons in the UK though!

The Bill: Honour and Obey. This very funny episode really sticks DC Rod Skase centre stage for perhaps the first real time, and kicks off his hilariously fractious working relationship with DC Suzie Croft, who gets to bear the brunt of so many off-the-cuff chauvinistic comments in just the one episode it'd have made Burnside blush.
PC JARVIS (after having seen a very public row between Rod and Suzie): We thought we were going to have to do them for breach of the peace.

Finished Neighbours - From the Beginning volume 3 (1985) today. The Terri/Durham story ramped up so much and was so gripping I went through the last five episodes this afternoon, when I'd only intended to watch two lol. Terri ended up murdering him, and then when Paul found out and was going to call the cops, she shot him too.
As the saying goes - that escalated quickly.

Couple of weeks into Neighbours 1986 and absolutely loving it (still haven't seen these before, not sure exactly when I started (I saw earlier on the repeats in the early 90s than I did originally, but still not these). 85 was a decent season, and it improved considerably in the second half, but 86 is just on a different level from the very first episode IMHO. There is such a confidence to the show now, and it really shows. It has found it's tone, and it's voice, and it knows it. You can see why it was so huge back then (different league from what it is now  )

Robin of Sherwood series 1. I started the first few episodes on DVD, and have now got the Blu-ray, and the difference in picture quality is like night and day. It was like watching it through mud before. This must be my most-bought complete series, I bought the whole lot on VHS in the 90s, on DVD in the 00s and now on Blu in the 10s!

I think the record currently goes to the Doctor Who story Spearhead from Space, which I owned on VHS, twice on DVD and then Blu (the only classic Who released on that format).

Long ago I do not see TV. :W

In the same moment that appears advertising of TV.
I write that I see it.

And then download it. And then see it full without advertising.

Neighbours was a great series that I enjoyed very long time. Now I seem ancient and old.
