People think that obviously high-Quality things like, say, extreme beauty, intelligence, sensitivity, talent, or whatever, must be an unqualified bonus, but sadly, this is not the case.

Extreme beauty in a woman, by and large, gets her treated like a brainless bimbo; extreme intelligence in a man gets him treated like an emotionally-retarded geek. It doesn't help that there are numerous examples of both stereotypes constantly reinforced in the media.

Conversely, extreme intelligence/capability in a woman gets her treated like a serious problem, and extreme beauty/sensitivity in a man gets him treated like an effeminate homosexual.
