I try to fake that "non creepy/stalker way" most of the time too. :P

We seem to be getting closer to pinpointing the dates now, which is excellent news.
It will be fantastic if we can also find the locations, and even better if you can be there. *:)*

Juliette, devouring a table load of food. (nom, nom, nom.) :P

What's this from, Fishy?

Yet another Acquart short film I haven't seen?

That just about applies to them all, doesn't it? :(
It's from "La bande à Juliette".
Not sure if it's a scene from the film or just lunch for everyone on set.
Hopefully we'll find out more in the future. :D

For Owen.
I've been trying for ages to find an outlet to view/buy some of Pauline's short films, many of which have been shown at the Clermont Short Film Festival.
Sadly I've not had any success so far.
Maybe it's only available in France, but my French is so poor that I can't tell.

I have a feeling that somewhere on the Clermont site there is a way of gaining access to the films so I'm hoping you will be kind enough to have a look through it to see if I'm right, and if I am, telling us how to go about it. _O_

Some of the ones that have been shown at Clermont. *:)*

Owen wrote:Do you have a theory about the reasons for Sandy's suicide? I think the point of the short film was to show that distress can be completely unseen and even if the person is acting normally, she may be suffering and struggling for her life. Or maybe one can be unaware even of the existence of such struggle in him. The film leaves me perplexed.

I think/feel that the tone of the film has much to do with emptiness and coldness ["you don't give a shit about anything"] ...that Sandrine kills herself because she doesn't feel human, she can't give or accept love from her girl friend or the boy who evidently loves her.

Life is boring, empty, stupid, painful, and she wants out. *:|*

Serene seems to have made her way there too.
Yay for the photographers. *:)*

While Pauline is still in Paris and planning to attend a gig for the film "Les Enfants Rouge" tonight. :|

Meanwhile, Juliette kicks her heels up. *:)*

Yeah, that would be soooooo great. By the way, did Pauline ever give any interview? I have found nothing on the promotion for NdP, except an interview of Sciamma explaining what it is about and other stuff. I have not looked for informations possibly given by Haenel or Louise Blachère though.

Unfortunately, I think there is no way of seeing these shorts without them put on the Internet by the director or something. The festival seems to exist mainly for the professionals. The rest may pay for the entrance, but only to the festival, the Short film market is reserved for accredited professionals. It contains a video library where we can see the shorts of the market (I don't know what they are, and whether the festival selection is present), but the access is restricted for those who visited the market in person. The information in english is here: http://www.clermont-filmfest.com/index.php?m=274
Five of the shorts of Pauline's are in this library . Unless you know a professional who visits the market and is willing to give you the access code, or a good hacker?

Your point of view is interesting. I thought that there must be a concrete reason, but maybe not, all things considered. She has everything what she needs for the moment, but is kind of unwilling to step into the life. "She doesn't feel human" sounded strange to me when I first read it, but you have a good point here:
There are some apocalyptic references: the title, the music, the announcement of a major disaster. With the addition of the obsession of Baudelaire with spleen/ideal, it may be like an illustration of human condition. Sandrine must accept to live in all the imperfection and impending doom. We see, she doesn't.
However, these hints may just be an impression of a deep meaning. After all, it's only a short film.

Another name to the long list of titles of la Glorieuse.

Last point: subtitles for The Dutch room. Here they are. With an improvement: they are in the same archive this time.

L'Acquart G doesn't really seem to do interviews. There's a video one around Blanche Neige, and a couple of paragraphs from the 15-year-old after doing NdP [which I'm pretty sure are referenced quite early on in the thread] but otherwise, rien. *:|*

That's a real shame.
We'll just have to rely on blind luck, (as usual), more that likely. :(
Thanks for clarifying it anyway Owen. ^O^

Yes, Fish, it looks like things are getting behind schedule. I saw some people are still going to be in vienna on thursday, which was the day I was hoping to run into Pauline. Oh well. I'll keep an eye out and hopefully they will be getting things going soon.
