Of course, it's a horror film isn't it? Image
I couldn't quite find the genre but I think you've nailed it. Image

The depths of Russian Internet will never cease to amaze me. I mean, there had to be people that found it somehow, written a script and dubbed it. In France these things go into oblivion almost immediately  ...

Great find, fish *:)* _O_ _O_

As for the short, I share your impressions. Disturbing, but funny.

Total anarchy-like freedom  Like the Wild West. Or Klondike.

DMt. wrote:Has anyone managed to uh obtain a copy...?

Key word is "copy" . Yes, with that downloader fish told about.

Funny, I've been doing the same thing yesterday (while I shouldn't have)... with the same results
The short Casting is nowhere to be found, thanks to its sooo original name. But I've seen sites that hosted some of the shorts. Maybe they will reappear one day.

I've discovered that young Acquart is played by Jeanne Disson from Tomboy in Lettre d'un père à sa fille. Now I MUST see it!  Thinking of sending a mail to Forrest&Lea.
So I wasn't the only one drawing the parallel between them. Sciamma, I see what you did there :P

Fish, can you tell how big Pauline's role is in Mourir d'aimer?

Somewhere in the depths of the thread is a pic of PAB and Jeanne with a little girl held up between them...smiling her head off 8)

Can't help with that at all I'm afraid.
I've never been able to find any vids of Pauline's scenes.
If it's anything like La Lisière though her scenes would be minimal. :(

"Lettre d''un père à sa fille" is well worth following up though.
It's well made, has a very nice story line and Pauline shines when it's her turn to play Lucie. *:)*
DMt. wrote:...PAB and Jeanne with a little girl held up between them...

Jeanne Disson, Aube Loubens and La FAB on the set of Lettre, from the Forrest & Léa site.
The three ages of Lucie. :D

Wow, thanks! *:)* Cool picture. Missed it when I was a lurker here.

But in Mourir d'aimer she plays the daughter of the main protagonist, so maybe she has two or three scenes. I read there is one scene in which her character argues with her mother. The film itself is a remake of a 1971 movie with the same name with Annie Girardot. It tells the "true" story of a female young teacher who falls in love with a student, but the society breaks them. I've seen the old one but I found it dull, maybe because it did not seem to concern me much, and felt cliché (even if it's based on a true story). I've read almost only negative reviews of the remake. Not one mentioning Acquart of course.

In La lisière who does she play? I understood that movie is something like Hard Target (    ) or Eden Lake.

Sounds like Mourir d'aimer might be worth checking out then, if we can get hold of it. :Y

Owen also wrote:La lisière

I'm not familiar with either of those two films I'm afraid.
Brief storyline: Appears to be set in a small semi rural town. A hit run incident in which a young girl is killed is witnessed by a number of her friends. Soon after, a new doctor sets up practice in the town. He buys a car and, you guessed it, it's identical to the hit run car. The young girl's friends are convinced he's the culprit and start to plan their revenge.
Pauline plays Hélène, one of the group of young people.
An OK film I guess, but Pauline only has minor screen time. :(
It's been on TV in Australia.

Note: Phénix Brossard who's in La Lisière is on the right of the above pic.
He's a long time friend of Pauline's and is also in La bande à Juliette. :Z :-P
