According to Owen, in the "white dress" part of Andreas Pauline doesn't speak even though she appears to be wearing a microphone.
I'm only guessing, but she was probably just "showing" the appropriate emotion as prescribed by the director.

Her lines come later, in the "black dress" part of the show.

She does look quite "fierce" in some of the pics, eh? :x :P

In Jamais Contente, I think that Pauline plays Aurore's sister.

DMt. wrote:A cold and haughty Acquart here, I deem. Was it context, the role she was playing?

She often has a sombre expression, but this is something else.

In the beginning of the play, the writer named Andreas meets a woman. This woman has a husband whom she calls a "werewolf". The husband has a daughter from another marriage, played by Pauline. The guy knows Andreas, but Andreas doesn't remember him (I forgot the details). In a scene, this guy and his daughter discuss Andreas, and the daughter says she doesn't like him, and asks why they must welcome him as a host (so Acquart has some lines, but not much, she is more the instrument for exposition). Then Andreas and the woman arrive and all of them have a long scene where mainly the guy and Andreas talk. Pauline doesn't talk, just watches, sitting. I thought at the beginning that she and her father would become main antagonists, but they simply disappear after that (the father makes an appearance towards the end, if I'm not mistaken).
You judge right, she appears to be a dark character here, although it was a non sequitur.

The second character is more fleshed out.

If I were to meet the director, I would ask him why the first character was so underused.

I hope it too. From the synopsis read on various sites, there are four prominent female characters. Aurore's mother, her younger sister, her older sister (who's living an adult's life now), and Lola, Aurore's best friend. It is safe to assume that Acquart will be the older sister.
Actually, I wanted to buy the novel, but was dissuaded by its price (I feel it's way too expensive for a children's book and for its chopped style). I guess I have the patience to wait until the movie. :D

Yes, I think I will be able to come to one of these dates. *:)* Only hoping that I will be more rested and prepared than the last time.

Good work with the gif! ^O^ I like the range of her expressions while doing as little as stuffing a jar with lemons.

L'Acquart G is so silently expressive, it's a gift. Her performance as Marie is still breathtaking, and she was only just 15, FFS!

...and she has been patiently honing it ever since, in live theatre as well as a few other media...watch out, world.

BTW, we're just about to notch up the next 10,000 views, at 140,000... 8)

We don't even bother commenting on the mere 1,000's any more.

PS yes, another nice gif, Fishy...if you add a copy of the first frame at the very end, with a transition from the one before it, you won't get [as much of] the jerky bump as it restarts... 8)

Another thing for me to try to remember. :T

This one I call "Liverpool kiss", and the "How many lemons in the jar?" one are from vids though.

The next if all goes well, is from pics but I've already selected/resized/cropped/etc/and giffercised, so it's a bit late there.
Starting to understand it a bit now.
Hopefully I'm making less mistakes.

Thank you.
Makes such a difference being able to see better, but it's so bright and everything's in focus. *:)*

Here's a cut down version of the gif I've been trying to get right.
The full one was just so big that it wouldn't upload properly.
Not bad but I might use the vid to see if I can find other bits and do them better. :Z

Sounds like it went well, Fishy, very glad to hear that. You'll adjust to the new vision in due course, I expect.

I thought you couldn't 'do' gifs? :P Get yourself a copy of Paint Shop Pro [comes with Animation Shop] and go kerr-razy!

I'll have a look at PSPro to see if it likes me, but http://ezgif.com/ seems about my intellect level at the moment.

Don't judge by this one though, I'm still learning about it.
