Merry Xmas! *:)*

There has to be something really valuable about Christmas, or there wouldn't be such an effort made to make it a giant pain in the arsehole, no?

I think it has something to do with the Sun's passage over the Galactic Centre degree, on or about the 19th December every year. That's the source of the Christmas twinkle dust, I reckon [as well as everything else in our Milky Way].

What's obscured by all the Xmas crap, this line of thinking goes, is our annual reconnection to the Source of everything, via our own GC.

'Peace on Earth and goodwill to all' would seem to be the motto there.

Our GC in turn is gravitationally linked with the Super Galactic Centre, and presumably so on up to the fabled Great Central Sun [which might just turn out to be that huge Great Attractor thingy, I'm not sure.]

Grounding it out into our daily lives, it looks like the way to have a good Christmas is to realise that you and everything else are all sparks of the One Infinite Creator, and to put into practice the motto cited above.

*

So, er, yes...a Merry Christmas to One and All !

I think my Galactic Centre moved a few paces to the left overnight.
Nothing seems quite where it should be today. :T :r :P

I don't know why, I've failed every time I've tried before, but I've been trying to find more pics/vids/info about "Casting" today.
Maybe there's more to this Galactic Centre thing than meets the eye. :?

Oh! Guess what, I failed again. :( *:|*

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and managed to keep the over indulgence to a sensible level. *:)*

Christmas was indeed good! :D Calm and quiet in fact.

Maybe you didn't find anything because Casting is the stupidest title ever? :T :P

Thinking about it, I find sad that the short film market is so closed to the general audience. Short films are rarely treated as well as short stories. Mostly, it's bootleg. It would be cool if there were DVDs issued from the festivals.

Isn't it though? :Y :T

Yeah, the short film world seems to be a very restrictive place.
There are a few festival sites with info, but unless you can be there and know exactly what you're looking for it's pretty hopeless.
On the other hand, I've had some success contacting the relevant production or distribution company and throwing myself on their mercy.
Humble, modest, other side of the world. _O_
How could they resist?

It's like when you're out shopping and some ridiculous pest just won't leave you alone.
Pauline and I just hate that. :P

You probably already said it, Fish, but which film/short film is Pauline sharing the screen with Jenna Thiam?

That's from "le Chant des Sirènes" which I bought recently.

Track it back through the posts for more info if you're interested.
If you'd like to buy a copy send me a PM and I'll give you the email address.
(The guy, Alexy, might be on his Christmas holidays at the moment, but I found him to be very helpful.
I wonder if Owen's heard back from him yet. :? )

Juliette's (Pauline) father is a sleaze of the highest order, and the story is pretty much Juliette's attempts to live with the fact.
Jenna is only in the film briefly but certainly makes an impact. *:)*

"Hey Fish. Don't forget me. This is supposed to be all about me." *:|*
"Sorry dear."

I'm sure that's the case.
Well, I hope that's the case.

Of course I did find "Les Lendemains" by searching through Ebay France and getting lucky that a film festival judge had decided to sell the copy he was given.
Timing is everything. *:)* 8)

It's taken me a few days to clear up any doubt, but this is Pauline playing her "Dorothy" role in Los Feliz.
Posted with a bunch of less relevant pics about the completion of the Sound Design phase.
I'm hoping it's just a bad pic. :P

A bit weird make up, isn't it?
Like they went for the Judy Garland after one of her nights out. :?

A very, very late night out by the looks of it. Image
