Just been watching as these "yellow vest" protests turn violent.
Has the movement been taken over by extremist elements or something?

My understanding has been hampered by lots of "paywalls" on the news sites but I'm disturbed by the reports of violence.
Does anyone have any information?

I saw a bit more on the TV news last night and I still can't figure out who's behind it all.
Is it the original popular protest movement or something more sinister.

You don't need to replace anything, fishy, they can quite happily coexist.

It will often run things that Firefox gets sniffy about, or just doesn't get...plus it's got no way in for spyware/tracking&hacking, apparently [well, not the standard industrial-grade corporate stuff, at least].

It seems that some want to profit from chaos (robbing stores and all). But apart from releasing the long-contained anger towards the ununderstanding government, I don't think that there are conspiracies or agendas in here.

Pleased about that.
Crime can be dealt with, but larger conspiracies can be much more difficult.
In any event I hope it's soon resolved and the violence subsides.
