As Pops said, "Ouch". :P

Must have been a bloody sharp needle to cause Christmas lights and an almost "infra red" effect.
And then she has to do it every night.
Oh the curse of live theatre. :P *:)*

Hmmm...OK, perhaps you're right...how about 'Galacquartistique'...?

Works for me. You do realise that you supplied all the ingredients - the lights and Queeniepic?

sweetgrrl, you've got those gifs down now, aintcha?

I'd like to see...the changing-room scene - from just after Floriane has brutally disposed of the banana girl, up to where she comes over and sits next to the rather horrified and desolate Marie, please. In slow motion... 8)

And indeed it is a mighty scene, a highly-charged and delicate balancing of contradictory elements, and even Sciamma has said [if I understand her correctly] that she felt she had "kind of failed" to get this one right.

There couldn't be a kiss [however much we might long for it here] because that would have turned it into a 'love scene', and lost the dynamic tension between one party who is probably in love and another who is probably not.

Personally I think Céline just might be being a little hard on herself. You can only do so much with a medium.

People ought to be using their own imaginations anyway, not having to be signposted and spoonfed everything like babies.

Thought I recognised the lights etc. Love what you've done with them. *:)*
Desperate for pics now though.
Have to make more I think unless l'Acquart becomes a little more public in her persona.

Scenes?
How about "snuggling into the shower", "adjusting Marie's strap", even "the medal on the bus".
Plus there are heaps with Anne.
So many I'd like to see, Sweetgirl. *:)*

That's not good that she was hard on herself, i thought the scene was breathtaking.

I found this pic on "le Figaro" where they seem to have removed all the gauze in front of Pops.
Haven't found any more yet, but I like it. *:)*

There's probably as much beauty in the "longing" than there would be in the "acquiring".

I always think "kiss her" during that scene, but at its end I think it's perfect that she didn't.

Pauline contemplating the bushfire effect of Dave's birthday cake. :P

For some reason birthdays with a zero in them qualify as "milestone" birthdays.
May there be many more to come. *:)*
Happy birthday mate. Image

Now We Are 60...

But Sciamma/Acquart's Marie is my fifteen-year-old self's Anima on steroids; and [furthermore] even for us old farts, the Muse may present as any age from maiden to crone.

And as is the way with Muses, whatever age they select is the right age. *:)*

Anyone going to be in Toulon this Friday night?
With a camera?
And a ticket to the Theatre Liberté?
Please take pity on us and post your pics. _O_

Is it wrong for me to say how can you be a fan of Pauline Acquart if she is nowhere to be seen in the industry and no words have ramped up since 2012. :/
As much as i love the movie i can't seem to be a fan of hers anymore since there is never any news to talk to her about that's the reason why i haven't come anymore.

I don't think that's any reason to stop being a fan.
We know she's out there still w*rking in the Industry, it's just that for some reason i can't identify at the moment, the French entertainment industry seems very insular and protected against pollution/intrusion by the English language.
There must be a way in, we just have to find it.

We know for instance that she's in a performance of Blanche Neige tonight in Toulon. But if history is anything to go by there'll be nothing about it in the Toulon press and it'll be next to impossible to find any photos from the event.
I just don't see that as a reason not to try to find the evidence.

I think she's one of those rare talents that deserves a following and it'd be a shame if she was to slip into anonymity outside of France.
(climbs down from soapbox)
