I can see where it could be disheartening though! I'm so glad I've become a mad Emma fan - first time ever I've become a fan of someone who isn't seriously obscure and seriously hard to find info on!

I suspect it's hard for us to imagine the consequences of fame at such an early age, and especially in such a highly-charged role as Sciamma's Marie, where everyone will tend to assume that you are playing yourself. Hollywood is littered with victims, most recently Edward Furlong from Terminator 2.

Although thankfully the French film industry doesn't seem to be quite so destructive as the US/UK's, or to routinely require surgical alterations to its female leads, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Pop'slabellefolle hadn't had a flood of cheesy offers after NdP, most or even all with 'the fantasy of cotton underwear' high on their agenda.

However that may be, and whatever privacy measures may have been found necessary, l'Acquart and her agency have since pursued a quiet, steady course that looks well designed to give a thorough grounding in all aspects of her craft [and sullen art] - feature films, TV, short films, at least one ad, and now theatre/mime with Snow White - and, as Sciamma meaningfully said just after NdP, 'she is only interested in quality projects'.

Acquart is very good at silent expressiveness, so I'm sure she is even now slaying them by the houseful in Snow White; but us poor aliens are just going to have to wait for the next NdP-scale international feature film, I think.

I haven't been tempted to search for "Slaughter in Toulon" yet, but that might be my next step.
I did have a little peek at the French press today but found very few references, almost all of which were to NdP.

Associated Press had this pic, very similar to a million others, but nothing at all post NdP.

I guess her career is still in its infancy, even with the body of w*rk she's amassed so far, so we'll just need to show a little patience. *:)*

Oh, love the "swing" pic Dave. And it's huge. 8)

L'Acquart looms large, eh, fellow-fan Fish...

Sort of a Greek goddess look, there.

Or even a French goddess.

This was tagged "Pauline Acquart" on Flickr and had a posting date of 16 March 2013.
Not so much of the goddess, more of the picasso look. :P

I can only assume it's her.

Aye, both are crops of the deservedly oft-republished shot from Au Septieme Jour.

Acquart in chameleon mode, with yet another [presumably recent] look; I wasn't even sure it was her at first, but the hands convinced. Cropped out of Fishy's last post after zooming to max in the browser image view [ctrl - + ] and then ctrl-printscreen to capture it

BN is being described as "theatre for kids" in some of the French press, but I think its own PR says 'from 6 upwards'...which is not quite the same thing. Anyway it's bums-on-seats what counts, see, of whatever age. Theatre is big business, some of the biggest.

I've often seen it described as "theatre for kids" too, but I think like most of the Grimm tales it's definitely for older kids.
Don't think too many six year olds could sit still that long.

Found a couple of actual pics from Les Lendemains, one appeared to be a nice close up of Pauline. :D
So I clicked on it. *:)*
And it wasn't there. :r

So here's a cap of the thumbnail. :|

Release date is about a month away now so the PR machine will hopefully click into action soon.

You comfort me, Fishy, in that your Acquartisme is so obviously equal to, or even surpasses, my own, and possibly even Andy's. 8)

Roaring onto the next K, too, so it's probably not just us.

Bloody hell.
The whole world must be longing for more Acquartisme.
Let's hope we feed that need somewhat. *:)*

Remember that pic from Les Lendemains I couldn't find yesterday?
I found twelve of them today. *:)*
But sadly Pops is only in one of them. :(

Image

But it is a nice one.
But it's the same as the thumbnail (obviously  ).
But there's no smile (sadly :( ).

Thanks Fish for the insight i'm still a fan it's just so hard to get to her lol :O and she is a really talented actress, someone from the US needs to find her for a US film because i seen alot of french actresses transform from French Films to US Films or at least do both now for example Melanie Laurent ;D
