Went to the cinema this afternoon (first time in about 8 months!) and saw Red. Good fun. Nothing we haven't seen before many, many, many times, but entertaining nonetheless. Mary Louise Parker is ageing well, it must be said. :)P

I thought she was very good in "Boys On The Side", but I don't know "Red".

What's it about?
Details, details, details. Please. :P

Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman and John Malkovich as a bunch of retired CIA agents who suddenly find themselves targeted for assassination - apparently by their own agency. Sort of New Tricks but with the CIA. :P  Also stars Helen Mirren,
It was fun. Nothing special, but amusing enough. Made a pleasant change. :D

Very good. Intense. Based on a true story. The acting was phenomenal.

Wow. I just had a read on IMdB.
Talk about polarised reviews.
People seem to either love it or hate it, there wasn't much middle ground.

I think Sally Field is very good, ever since she overcame some less than average childhood roles, and Alfred Molina can play the "sinister" part to a tee, so I guess the right actors were cast. I wonder if the controversial racial/religious aspect coloured many people's views of the film.

Les Diables. Erm... not a fan, I'm afraid. Adele Haenal is excellent (and unrecognisable) but it was all a bit overwrought, depressing and pointless for my taste. at the nudity though. How the hell old was she in that, 14? The French are bloody saucy buggers, no doubt about it. Certainly rather less hysterical than some cultures I could mention...

I've always fancied living there, actually... :P

Saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt 1 this afternoon. Very enjoyable, best performances from the three leads in the whole series. Engagingly dark. Emma Watson = :)P :)P :)P :)P :)P :)P

The only thing I didn't particularly relish was the unexpected fifteen minute interval halfway through the movie when the cinema... er... had a power cut!

We sat there for ten minutes, then they said they'd called the power company and it was going to be another hour for the power to come back on, so it was refunds for everyone. I was not well impressed. However, we were all lining up for a refund - and some people had actually got it and left! - when the power unexpectedly came back on early. So most of us (yours truly included) just went back in and watched the rest of it! :T

Nah. Given the messing around we had to endure, I left it for the staff. :P

Zombieland was okay. Not as clever (or funny) as Shaun of the Dead, though.
