Had a double bill last night.

Idle Hands. Seriously dumb late 90s "comedy horror". Pretty bad, with its only redeeming features being Seth Green (being his usual laidback droll self) and Jessica Alba running around in some very skimpy clothes. :)P

Serenity. Kick-ass sci-fi actioner. Very enjoyable.

Is this the same man who wanted to know why I was watching Pretty Little Liars, I have to ask myself? :P

Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid. Mildly amusing 80s black and white Steve Martin film noir comedy where he brushes up against various 40s and 50s movie stars (in scenes lifted from their films). Sporadically dull at times but with some funny moments. Would probably be funnier if I knew who half of them were (Bogart's the only one I found instantly recognisable).

Saw Son In Law again last night. I can't say I'm a fan of Pauly Shore (the only other one of his I've seen is Jury Duty, which was utterly godawful) but this is a very funny film with a sweet nature. Farm girl Carla Gugino heads off to California University. At first overwhelmed by it all and almost ready to run off back home after a week, she is taken under the wing of the decidedly weird resident advisor Shore, who helps her come out of herself. When she takes him home for Thankgiving, though, he does not exactly fit in with her homespun family, and the situation gets worse when, to fend off the marriage proposal of her sleazy high school boyfriend, they pretend to be engaged!

A very likeable comedy, with a nice turn from the always reliable Lane Smith too. And Carla Gugino is gorgeous! :)P

Just Go With it. Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. Hilarious! I couldn't stop laughing through the entire movie.

Saw the matinee of Gnomeo and Juliet. I loved it!! Alyssa loved it too! Richard Wilson (Victor Meldrew, One Foot In The Grave) is the voice of the feuding neighbor (human) at the begining of the film. He was sooo much like Victor, I half expected him to say, "I don't belieeevvve it!". He didn't though. You hear him for less than a minute.

It'd be better fun if Rebecka was in it. *:|* :P

"The Hours".
Last night on a movie channel.
Haven't seen it for a few years, but very good.

Even with the fake nose and all the other "plain" make-up Nicole Kidman is still Drop Dead Gorgeous. :)P
