Saw it this morning.
Loved it. *:)*

Such a naturalistic and beautiful film.
Got shockingly realistic towards the end.

Feel like taking next vacation out boating in the reefs of south-Sweden now.
If only I had a boat.
Or a girl. *:|*

Beautifully-observed film. I was aware of its existence but never watched it before.

VERY English, although it is a joint Anglo-French production. Emotionally hard-hitting, very funny, if a bit sentimental at times.

Pre-teen and so no sexual overtones, but explores homo-erotic themes.

Like ‘Naissance de pieuvres’ but about pre-pubescent boys.

Just a VERY classy ‘boys will be boys‘ film, VERY enjoyable, unusual, FUN film. :DDD Still wiping away tears of laughter and sadness. :DDDD

Be sure to watch on BBC Iplayer or as DVD.

The BBC IPlayer can't be watched outside Britian, or at least not here. *:|*

Saw Trading Places last night. Haven't seen it for at least 20 years, and I've never had it on VHS or DVD but a couple of weeks back I took a punt on a cheap Blu-ray and I'm glad I did. Classic 80s comedy with a fantastic cast (Dan Aykroyd, Eddie Murphy, Jamie Lee Curtis, Denholm Elliott (wonderfully dry), Don Ameche, Ralph Bellamy). The picture quality was amazing as well, one of the best transfers I've seen, especially for a 31 year old film. Really enjoyable. :D

That's the response I got too. *:|*

Classic film Trading Places.
Can't possible be 31 years old though.

Saw Close Encounters of the Third Kind on the weekend, first time in around 13 years. A timeless, magical classic that looks absolutely beautiful on Blu-ray. Superb. :D

Saw Inside Llewyn Davis today.
A very good film from the Coen brothers.
Much recommended, about a struggling folk musican in the early 60's, trying to get by in the music scene of New York, sleeping on couches of anyone who'd let him.

Marvelous performance from a strong cast.
Looked and sounded beautiful in blueray. :)

Edge of Tomorrow at the cinema. Terrific SF thriller.

Alligator. A baby alligator flushed down the bog grows up in the same sewers where a drug company is illegally dumping growth hormones... resulting in a 30 foot alligator emerging from the sewers on a man-eating rampage! This cult classic early 80s monster movie is every bit as much fun as I remember it from many, many years ago!

One of the sci-fi channels has been having a spate of films like that recently.
The classic had to be the two headed shark which was eating people with each mouth.

Thankfully I've avoided the temptation to watch any of them. *:)*

A late finisher last night on one of the movie channels.
Seen it a few times but not recently.
An absolute classic. *:)*

 It's quite demented, isn't it?

Dirty Mary Crazy Larry. Two guys rob a supermarket and, together with a thrill-seeking young woman who's barely hooked up with one of them, set off on a cross-country bid for freedom with the police in hot pursuit. Peter Fonda and Susan George star in this wicked 70s action thriller, with some terrific chases and jaw-dropping stunts (and no CGI!) Very entertaining. :D

Beverly Hills Cop. Great 80s fun! :D
