Doctor Who - Remembrance of the Daleks (Special Edition), off ebay. Got it about 7 or 8 dollars cheaper than I would have done otherwise, so fairly happy with that. :D

Doctor Who - The Black Guardian Trilogy, off ebay.

Roseanne - seasons 4 and 5, on the cheap at Target.

Roseanne seasons 6 and 7. Look, they're cheap, okay? Okay, maybe not when bought all at once...

Lost Season 3 as well. Not so much because it's cheap, more because I wanna watch it.

You must have come into some new found wealth. :P

The last few I've bought have all been movies rather than tv shows.
Ginger Snaps
Rent
When Night Is Falling
The Gymnast

The first three are very, very good.
The last is ok, not great, but ok.

LOL No, not really. Spent rather too much this week actually! On the other hand, I haven't indulged like that for months, so I guess it all evens out! :D

There's not too many films I'm interested in getting atm. I'd like to get The Mist, which was excellent, but it never seems to be in anywhere. I wouldn't mind getting Night of the Comet, but I'll have to import it since it's not out over here, and I'll probably end up rebuying LTROI when it comes out here whenever that may be... (providing it has the proper subs, of course! )

That sounds like it will always be a gamble. Good luck.

I'm sure that, when it eventually comes out, I should be able to sniff around the net and find out if it's legit before plonking down the cash.

Got paid today, and the exchange rate brought it to a bit more than I was expecting, so I indulged a little. Got (off ebay) the dvds of 70s horror movie The Car (scared the crap out of me as a kid, whether it's any good now remains to be seen!), the excellent Night of the Comet (which was going REALLY cheap, I looked at it last year and it was twice as expensive) and 1987 Australian drama Celia, primarily because...er... a certain someone is in it. Aged about 11. And for all of 2 minutes.

But what can you do, eh? :T :W  :P

Poison Ivy. Though more for Sara Gilbert than Drew Barrymore.

Which probably makes me weird.

:W  :D

And this is leading to something we don't already know is it? :P

I really should stop going on ebay...

The Mist. For like 11 dollars! *:)*

And the season 1 set of Parker Lewis Can't Lose (only just out in the US, don't know if it'll come here), at half the proper price! Which I'm REALLY looking forward to. Used to LOVE that show... *:)*

Oranges are not the only fruit. Arrived by courier yesterday.
This made for tv drama consists of three episodes of just under an hour each. First shown on British TV in 1990.

Based on the book by Jeanette Winterson who also appears on the dvd in a tv interview from the mid 90's. So there's like nearly three and a half hours on one dvd.

Deals with Jess, a young girl adopted into a fanatically religious family, and growing up in NW England in the 1960's. Jess is first seen as a seven year old then ten years later as she rebels.

One IMDb reviewer described it as "...the finest movie ever made for television".
It's certainly up there among the best. Highly recommended.

(Is reminded of a scene from Drop the Dead Donkey 1990)

GEORGE: Now then, all this controversy over these lesbian sex scenes in this new mini-series...

HENRY: Yes, it's disgusting, isn't it. What time's it on?

GEORGE: 9 o'clock.

HENRY (getting out notebook and pen): Yes, disgusting. BBC 2, is it?
