The tennis wouldn't be much fun in Melbourne either.
Typically they get the same weather as us, a degree or two cooler and a day later.
I've watch a few matches on TV and some of the players looked at real risk of passing out.
Nasty.

We have the "Tour Down Under" cycle race in Adelaide starting week and all the international riders are here "warming up" for it.
If you'd like to see my home town and its near environs you should try to catch a little of it.
If any of the riders survive this week, that is.

I haven't watch much, because of the time difference the games are playing either at night or early morning up here, but I've read in the paper that at least one of the players (and even a ball boy) simply passed out and plummeted from the heat.
Not good conditions to play such a hard sport.

Would love to watch that, but it hasn't any coverage here ( and again the time difference ), but I'll see if I can find a stream or something on the internet.
To be honest, I find cycling a bit boring, but I do watch a little Tour de France, mostley just for the scenery.
It's truly beautiful.

Yeah, obviously not Bex but I did come across the article about Vera winning a contest to design a shirt and I was wondering if she had help from Bex.
Also I spent ages trying to find a pic of Vera and/or Bex at the presentation.
They must have been there surely.

I haven't watched much of the tennis either I'm afraid, but I saw on the news that people were collapsing from the heat.
I felt too sorry for them to watch.

And.... I feel the same about cycling. I only watch bits of the Tour Down Under for the scenery, to see how well I know the area.
