Makes my head spin that all this takes place on one little street. Image

Oh well, I finished my 2004 Neighbours rewatch yesterday (I could have accessed 2005, but I'm not that much of a masochist :T  with Lana's exit. :( The feeling of a massive wasted opportunity persists to me, I'm afraid, as does the feeling of massive cop-out, after which they can barely seem to wait to get rid of her. At the time, of course, I was confident they'd bring her back relatively quickly (she even says to Boyd, "You haven't seen the last of me") but of course that didn't happen. Not for 15 years anyway. I enjoyed most of 2004, and 3/4 of Lana's stint is one of the best things the show ever did. But the last few weeks were kind of depressing, to be honest, and just left me again wistful for the 2005 that might have been if they'd had the courage of their convictions. :(

I'll have to rewatch their wedding. That should cheer me up, at least. *:)* :P

Ian doesn't realise that such things are not in his timeline.
He should have led a more meritorious life, eh? :P

I must admit, I've rewatched their wedding episode and, while I enjoyed it on broadcast back in March, it was way more impactful and emotional after having rewatched the original storyline. I love how Sky - the girl way too scared and way too much in denial to even admit to having feelings for her female best friend - looks so content and peaceful when she's swaying with Lana in her arms during their wedding dance.

Not that I cried or anything, oh no. We all know I'm far too manly for that.

There was something in my eyes, dammit!

Know the feeling.
I watched Portrait of a Lady on Fire again last night.

I still think it's a masterpiece. *:)*

Elementary season 7, episode 12. I think there's another episode to go, but that could actually have been the very last episode. This has been a great final season, with a great villain and arc, and the last couple of eps have been edge of the seat stuff. Love this show, sad to see it go, but at least it's kept its quality all the way down the line. :D *:)*

I just watched the full series (4 seasons) of Gomorrah, Italian mafia.
What I like most is human relationships.

Has some very good reviews, but I'll admit I've never seen it.
Sounds violent.
I'm a lover, not a fighter.

Would you recommend it to a sensitive soul like me? :P

It is very violent. All deaths are executions. There is torture. But I like the part of how relationships and love between them are made and broken.

Wicked Science: The Flies. The season 1 finale saw Toby de-genius both Elizabeth and himself, but left open that the latter still had the information on how to turn herself back. Season 2 picks up with everything apparently as it was, only to reveal that Elizabeth has already done so, and before long things are getting out of control. This is a fun, if unremarkable, start to season 2 that's just concerned with getting back to business as usual and setting up some new characters. Dina has gone (yay! She's supposedly moved away, but I like to think Elizabeth has her in a cage somewhere and occasionally pokes her with a stick ) and Toby has a new gal pal in Sasha. Making her his cousin is a clever move, giving them a pre-established relationship but removing any of that weird pseudo-romantic vibe he had with Dina (and, for obvious reasons, any of the jealousy Elizabeth had toward their relationship). Interestingly, Elizabeth seems slightly different already; I'm not sure if it's the writing or just Bridget's performance, but she seems to be having a bit more fun and be a little less perpetually angry and stressed (she doesn't even yell at Verity or even Garth once the whole episode  ), while still clearly being vulnerable where Toby's concerned. An enjoyable beginning to a new season. :D

Maybe it's just Monday morning talking, but I think I've definitely been de-geniused today. :T
