I agree, although "Perdu d'Avance" is very dark. Very.
Pauline's and Théo's characters are seriously disturbed.



I don't know if there's anything medically wrong with her lips.
I mean, she has a very "full" mouth.
If there was a problem I'm sure she would be doing something about it.

Most of us aren't hydrated enough much of the time, apparently.

I read somewhere that the Japanese drink a pint of water on waking, sounds like a good idea to me [given decent-quality water, that is].

Supposed to be helpful for avoiding being drowsy and tired in the morning as well.
Apples are also one of the most effective ways to wake up, I've heard.

It's quite a good little film really, for one that's only ten minutes long.

Finally, I'm back (it's been only 3 weeks but I missed the forum)!
The gardener cut the Internet cable, it was FUN .

Yay, more screens from Perdu d'avance, (and some cool gifs, of course, I'm impressed)! I don't know if you looked expressely for intensity, but they she seems really disturbed in them. In terms of performance it is admirable.

I've seen Mourir d'aimer, sparsely though (it was 4am and I was bored...). It wasn't as awful as I expected, but not good either. Muriel Robin is good, her young student/lover is miscast, the story flows well in the beginning, and feels compressed at the end. The teacher's children stories were unfortunately unconclusive. Acquart wasn't very good in my opinion, her line delivery was too fast (which did fit the anger of her character but not the believability) and too monotone. Nonetheless, pleased to see her in something "new".
I've also seen Chez Maupassant. I prefer to forget its existence and I'm sure, the actors too .

Both "Mourir d'aimer" and "Chez Maupassant" were pretty easy to follow but without conversational French the merits of the performances were hard to judge.
However I did enjoy the humour in Chez Maupassant, a happier ending might have made it even more enjoyable.
About time I made some more Chez M pics & gifs too.

No movement from Edgar on the "Billionaire" front but a photographer from Italy changed their Facbok cover pic to commemorate it being one year since filming in Rome finished.

Which is a proof of high quality color and performance work in the short.

However I did enjoy the humour in Chez Maupassant, a happier ending might have made it even more enjoyable.

Yes, it had much humor, but I was palmfaced almost all of the time, because of the absence of coherence between the dialogue and the delivery. The actors didn't seem to believe much in their roles. I don't know, maybe I missed something, or maybe it just isn't my type of production . (And the technical side was badly done too, Acquart gets yet another camera look.)

I'll certainly grant that. Not my favourite form of humour but somehow it seemed to fit the naivety of the episode.
Perhaps it was just Pauline's presence that did it for me.
I guess sometimes there are benefits from having a limited understanding of the language.
