Trip to NYC

I won a trip to NYC to meet Kristen Alderson and have a tour of the set of One Life to Live (my soap) courtesy of Kristen. Alissa is too far a long for me to bring her, but she's quite OK with that. She's going to be at her mothers (she lives 6 blocks away) then. I told her I would cancel the whole thing if she didn't want me to go (I meant it), but she insisted.

It should awesome!! I leave in 2 weeks. Here's a picture of Kristen.

Turns out another favorite actress of mine, whom is also bff's with Kristen will be on set while I'm there, so I'll get to meet her as well. Actually, I will may get to meet some of the other cast members (other actress, not a cast member). Wicked Cool!! Here's a picture of Julianna.

I had a blast on the set of One Life to Live! Kristen was so sweet and a great tour guide. I got to meet many different people from behind the scenes as well as a few cast members. I don't have my own pictures yet, so these will have to do so you may put a name with a face.

I met:

Kassie DePaiva (Blair Cramer, Starr's (Kristen) Mom)- Cool to meet and very warm personality.


Erica Slezak (Viki Davidson)- She's been on the show forever! Well almost and it seems like it!! Multi-Emmy winner. So it was a HUGE deal to meet her. Really nice and friendly.


Eddie Alderson (Matthew Buchanan)- Kristen's younger brother and a really great guy. Cracked a few jokes.


Kristen showed me her dressing room. Full of fan photos, fan letters and art. Scripts and personal touches of hers.

I forgot to post that I met Julianna Mauriello (Kristen's bff). I told her how much I love LazyTown and how talented I think she is. Also mentioned how Alissa and I donated some money (didn't say how much) to the American Teen Depression Group. An orginization for teens in America with depression. Julianna has been dealing with depression since she was 16 and has given talks and spoken out on the subject. It's great that she's been able to speak out about it and help others who are dealing with it as well.

Julianna was so sweet and friendly. Polite is the best word to describe her. We had fun though.
