i would claim that you can't look at someone the first time and say then what music he/she likes without knowing him/her! that's impossible! (mainly because you can't know every kind of music and every band on earth!) once someone said to me "oh you don't look like someone who's listenig to Linkin Park!" and i was very angry with him...!

What an interesting debate I've missed; all about me. I'm quite embarrased now

I get told all the time to tidy myself up and get a hair cut, have a shave etc etc, but I'll do all that when I want to, not when they tell me to. I know what I look like with short hair and clean shaven.

i mean the most important thing is that you like how your looking like! never forget: the appearance of people is only cover! the essential is invisible!!

Absolutely right... Unfortunately a lot of people do not think like us.

I agree that too many people are too concerned about the looks and acting "normal". Appearance is important but there must be balance and harmony with inside or it's limp and fake.
I like people that let their soul shine thru. I try to be like that too. I prefer people with personality (even if it may be not quite my cup of tea) to the ones that only want to fit to the crowd.

And if anyone is interested you can check out my favourite music by bassist-singer-songwriter Meshell Ndegeocello
PS my favourite song is 'Make Me Wanna Holler" from the album Peace Beyond Passion.

she's not bad. do you know india.arie?

i'm on sphinx' side in this debate. what someone looks like gives you informations about his personality (in most cases). and if you look one in the eyes, you can tell things about him, even if you never talked to him.

MahaRishiSriSriX yes i do know India.Arie her music is quite good :) Just some other names from similar style Jill Scott, Norah Jones, Lauryn Hill, Aretha Franklin (she's the queen of soul).
I was wondering if you could give some links where everybody could listen to your favourite music that may not be so well known. It would be nice...
