I’m from Estonia. I like to travel a lot i guess everybody does… I can’t say i’ve been to many foreign countrys or that i’m often abroad. Anyway i’ve visited Russia 3 times, Latvia couple of times, Lithuania twice i guess, Hungary, Poland ;) and at least once a year I go to Finland. I went to Sweden and Norway for the first time this Summer. It was an awesome adventure i had lots of fun. My dream destination would be New Zealand or Australia because it's a half way round the wolrld and it would be interesting to see how the gravity works for them :D. Plus i’d really love to go to Spain. What do you think about these places and what's your hot spot?

I (that is me and some friends) are supposedly going to do some Arctic survial training with the Sami people next year. This entails building and living in snow holes, cross country skiing, huskey sleighing, and a couple of other things. But before we could do that we had to do a basic survival course up in the Brecon Beacons during the winter, but I'll post that in a new topic some time :D

I have Paris coming up in June, but I would like to go to Prague for my birthday.....

Along with most of you I would love to visit Canada, Australia and New Zealand B)

I've been to Germany, Italy, Austria, France, Spain, Portugal, Netherland, Poland, Czech Republic and the Ukraine (but there I was only for about an hour when I was told that I must have a visa to go to Ukraine :( , so they put me back to Poland, and I had also to pay their fuel cost.... that was kind of funny)

So I've travelled half Europe, but have never been to any Scandinavian country, so I decided I need to go to Sweden, of course, anyway now, knowing this fantastic movie from Sweden.

So exactly in one week my plane's going towards Stockholm, and I'm looking forward to visit Trollhättan of course, where FA was shot!!
I'm quite excited now already and can't wait the time till then!

I'm sure some among you have also decided to visit the film location soon.... or am I the only crazy freak? Anyway I'm not sure if I might be a little crazy - maybe some of you can understand me?

I've been to Italy, Turkey, France, Spain, and each country in Great Britain. I would really like to go to Norway and Sweden to visit friends and possibly down under!

I'm planning (and saving) for a 6 month backpacking tour of Canada for when I leave college just over two years from now! I can't wait!

I have been to Australia, Malaysia (in the transfer lounge of the airport on my way to Australia :D ), Sweden, Ireland, England, Scotland, Belgium, Luxemburg, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Denmark and I live in the Netherlands. I would really like to stay in Ireland or in Sweden. I cannot choose.

Btw I am probably the only dutchman who hasn't been to Spain.

I think you explained now, why everyone wants to go to Australia. ;) I visited also the Blue mountains. It is really great there. I remember the cable cart to the three sisters. But most of all I remember the outback, alice springs and so on. I recommend Sydney too btw hehe. Oww and my favourite city during the trip was Brisbane. :)

I went to Australia in 1999, one year before the Sydney games. I still have the mark in my passport of Melbourne customs :)

The trip was like this: plane to Melbourne - plane via Adelaide to Alice springs - 4 days in the outback - plane to Cairns and we took the car to drive along the coast to Brisbane and Sydney - then flight back to home.

Really funny story is that when we planned the trip we also planned a stop in tea gardens, only because the name sounded nice. I never have been in such a shithole in my whole life. hehe

I went in the train thing, but also in that scary cart which gave me nightmares afterwards. :D You were not the only one ;) I tried not to stare downstairs. Fortunately it was a steel cage, so it felt it gave you some protection hehe. :)

We planned to go to dreamworld, but we did not. We saw the gold coast though. But I liked Brisbane more, with the city cat and stuff. :) When I was in Stockholm, I felt that Stockholm and Brisbane are very much alike, with the water and boats. Both cities have them. But also the style of buildings.

ohh ok! stockholm and brisbane are alike?! well that'd be nice to see!
dreamworld is fun, there's the tower of terror and the giant drop. for someone whose afraid of heights, it wasn't a smart move for me to go on the giant drop. it's about 150 metres high, they drage you all the way to the top, then just drop you, so you freefall. i had nightmares after that.

and btw, you've been to more places in australia than i have!

Why i’d like to go to Australia? Because i'm really fed up with Estonian climate. Do you know what we say about that? There are two kinds of weather in Estonia a bad skiing weather and a litlle bit less bad skiing weather. I don’t believe that hell is hot no there must be Estonian climate.
It’s so dark up here all the time. 2 months around Christmas it's like maximum 6 and a half hours daylight per day. But no it's even less because it's clowdy and raining all the time. To be more precisely it feels like someone is sneezing on you permanently. And the temperature is around 0*C all the time and the fucking wind. I must say i’d prefere –20*C and snow to that kind of weather. 2004 was a disaster there was like no summer at all. Spring just smoothly transferred into to autumn. There were only 2 weeks of nice weather during the summer. At least it won’t get completely dark even at night in summer. The other good thing was that Christmas were white :).
I still hope that this year would be better. The thing is you can never be sure about Estonian weather… Summer can be hot as in Mediterranian area and winter can be like skiing paradise as well.
