Started The X Files season 5 last night. Great stuff, as ever.

Got a long working day today starting in a few hours. Boring crap, mostly childminding so will be taking my laptop for a filmfest. Went mad yesterday and bought three for a tenner from Blockbusters, absolute timeless classics, ''Five Easy Pieces'' (one of Nicholson's best, worth it for the diner scene alone. His worst are dire ) ''Straw Dogs'' (Uncut version) was banned for so long everyone forgot about it, and for a little light relief ''Gooooooood Morning Vietnam" Oddly enough ''Tilsammans'' was for sale in the same offer but I already have that

Good Morning Vietnam is (or was) pretty good, though I haven't seen it for donkeys years!

Just re-watched a music dvd I've loved for ages....Pink. I'm not Dead Tour. From Wembley.
What a classic. Fell in love with Pink (and Claire Turton) all over again.

Looking forward to the final 3 eps of Dexter season 3 tonight. I'm placing money that Smits ends up on the slab, who wants to bet against it?

Very good finale. It's a very good, very morally ambiguous show. It's amazing how concerned you are when Dexter is abducted by the skinner serial killer. Er, HE'S a serial killer!

Started Parker Lewis Can't Lose series 1 last night (on shiny new dvd). Haven't seen it for donkeys years. Pilot ep is a bit rough, but with an ep or so it was as funny and different as I remembered it.

The A Team: Members Only. Great fun. Gotta at the team holding up (literally) General Fulbright's "roast" just so Hannibal can give his own speech. "Y'know, there's a reason we called him "Bull"..."

Doctor Who - An Unearthly Child (the very first story from 1963). Brilliant first episode, though the subsequent cavemen story is a tad dull. Has it's moments, though.

X Files: Post Modern Prometheus. In a word - crap. The only thing more painful than Russell T Davies trying to be Joss Whedon is Chris Carter trying to be Darin Morgan.

Anyone watching Skins? It's really quite good.
