Fri 10:00.
Like a sepia print of a once colourful life, Åmål today is but a washed out shadow of its heyday.
No Agnes. No Elin. Only their reminders being chased upstream by Johan Hultsalmon.
How I long for the warm heady fragrances of spring. New blooms, fresh buds.
The refreshed beauty of a couple of girls. Short skirts, bare flesh.
Not soon enough. :W

Good idea but I fear there are not enough of us...

I'm sure Ian's newly found wealth has let him buy the technology to record everything on Åmålcam for later playback. He can scan it, pick out the best bits and set them to music on Youtube. :P

01:00 Sun and there's people scurrying about through the snow. Lots of them.
They must have opened up an early registration desk for entrants in the 27th April "bottle on the roofathon".

My new found wealth... :?:

Do you know something I don't, fishy?

Would you care to share it with the group?

:P

I was assuming your screenplay royalty cheques were now pouring in and you had simply forgotten to mention it to us.

You must remember us.
Were'nt we the ones giving you all that inspiration in return for a few measly shekels cast in our direction? :P

The guy with the black lab has just been by and sniffed the flagpost (second from right) but didn't pee on it today. The dog didn't anyway. I'm getting to know the regulars quite well now. It still looks grim like sleet or something. Snow still piled up, but at least someone has brushed it off the salmon. I have a cold :( and it makes me feel snotty worse looking at this. Yuk.

Oops. Sorry. This is what I meant.Image

There, that'll cheer you up more than a typical winter's day in Åmål. :P

Looks like they've had more snow. Glad I don't live there. Must be half-term week, there's loads of schoolkids milling about. Keep thinking I spot Elin and Agnes walking by. :Y

I spoke too soon. We have had snow overnight but nothing like Amal. I have noticed though, when it snows there, it snows here about two days later. :( The salmon trio have been covered again.

04:30.
A shroud of fresh white over everything.
A trio of ghostly fish going nowhere.
Two lights blinking through the icy mist.
Not even an empty bottle to remind us that once there was life in this place.

F*ck it looks cold. *:|*

06:00 Mon and they've got a bloody snow plow out cleaning up the road.

C'mon, winter's nearly over. Set fire to something, anything, just start warming up the place for f*cksake. :T

Dull, dull, dull, and boring.
09:00 Thursday, a dull and boring kind of day. And that's just in Ådelåide.
Even in that hub of liveliness known as Åmål only the terminally brave or stupid are outdoors.
Not even a black lab to paint the flagpole yellow.

Jeez I'm bored.Image

Is my mind playing tricks on me? It usually does :D Last time I checked it was a total whiteout, nothing, nada, zilch, just like a blank white page of paper. I thought they'd had a blizzard but maybe it was the webcam showing zip. Thye've had more snow. At least when it snows here it's usually melted inside a few days (like last week) but Amal looks like permafrost  Living there it would be enough to turn even Ian into a Drag Queen  Strange how it looks more welcoming under yellow sodium lamps. 19:30 CET. This is the way my mind works. People have carved two tracks in the snow to the building. If you look closely the two heaped snowpiles round the right hand side of the flagpoles look like mammaries. The heaped pile of snow above that looks like a shaggy hair do. Somewhere between the salmon is a small mound of pubic snow. This is too random to be true. I think this is the citizens of Amal taking the piss out of us, creating a snow angel of Rubinesque if not nubile dimesions. Perhaps they have a sense of humor after all? *:)*
