Don't let her hear you calling her "Scraps" if you value your mortal soul.
Snaps has a Lisbeth Salander style ability to wreak terrible revenge. :P

:P

and, I think everyone loves Adele. :)P

Ohhhh snap! I'm too used to skimming the Poetry Free For All boards where, lo and behold, there is a member named scraps. My sincere apologies. Just don't Salander my ass!!

And I'm glad everyone loves Adele. I don't know anyone who even knows who she is. She's simply gorgeous :)P

help wrote:Les Diables (2002) A rather incredible film about two autistic children. A truly startling performance by a young Adele Haenel. Scraps, not sure if you've seen this or not, but as you are so fond of Water Lilies I may assume you are also fond of Adele. I can strongly recommend this film to anyone that can get their hands on it. It is stunning.

I think I may have seen clips of this in an MV someone on here linked to once upon a time. Didn't know the title of it, though.

I'm slightly fonder of Pauline Acquart, myself, mind. But that's me and brunettes....

I implore you to get hold of it. Whether by hook or crook just get a copy and watch it. Alone.

Brunettes... my favourite would have to be Jodhi May (apart from newly discovered Rebecka). Any fans here? You'd really have to see Sister My Sister to know what I'm talking about. She's all I've dreamed of for years...

Pink gingers seem to be out of fashion then? Huh!

You just about got away with ''scraps'' but it didn't go unnoticed. I try to be easy on guys when I first get to know them. Consider yourself on probation.

lol Sorry, snaps. I like gingers too, but there's something about petite, shortarse brunettes... :)P

I am interested in Les Diables. I thought it looked rather interesting from the clips (and having seen the DVD cover, it is that one). Matter of finding one reasonably priced with subs now, though...

Jodhi May as Flo Banner in "Tipping The Velvet".
Gorgeous, but Nan beat me to her.

I'd be more than happy to send you a dvd of the film. It would be a burnt disc, cause I d/l the film from a torrent site. But the quality is good, the subtitles adequate, and it will play in any dvd player. PM me if you are interested.

Haven't watched it in ages, but Four Last Songs is a beautiful, beautiful film.

If you haven't seen it yet, find it and watch it. Image

Glad you asked.

Larry (Stanley Tucci) and his girlfriend Miranda (Jessica Hynes) run a cafe/bar on a small Mediterranean island off the coast of Spain, (actually Mallorca). He's a 40 odd y/o American jazz & classical pianist, now just playing for the customers in his bar. They've lived on the island for about 7 years, and he's decided to try to stage a concert to honour a deceased classical composer, with the blessing of his widow Veronica (Marisa Paredes), who still lives on the island.

Also on the island are; Helena (Emmanuelle Seigner) the composer's "muse" who still lives in the tower where he died. Narcisco Ortega (Virgile Bramly) the superstar pianist who's agreed to play at the concert. He was born on the island. Sebastian Burrows (Hugh Bonneville) a rich English ex-pat who decides he has the expertise to do a better job with the concert, and his brother Dickie (Rhys Ifans) who's visiting him and is perpetually drunk. Erico (Karl Johnson) from Bratislava who's a performance artist and part time waiter. And Frankie (Jenna Malone) who's Larry's daughter, has never met him, has spent years trying to find him, and drops in to the bar sort of unannounced on his birthday.

All of these are tallented actors playing outstanding parts.

The music is jazz and classical, the film takes its name from "The Four Last Songs" by Richard Strauss and is exactly fitting with the location and the events. And of course Mallorca is glorious. Must go there one day.

If you've a sensitive soul, you'll love it.

Hugh Bonneville, "What's Spanish for 999?"

This is a good role too, not a bit part.

Here's a trailer.
