I'm guessing you don't have Anzac Day in Holland either.
There's a holiday for that on Tuesday 26th this year which makes it a 5 day weekend. 8) :T

Damn! :P

My shiny new dvd recorder, now multi region after cracking the code too (why they don't just make it like that out of the box is beyond me, mind). :D

I hope this one lasts longer than 14 months, mind.

Most new Sony products cannot be made to be multi-region without a hardware modification. With a PS3, that would be inadvisable if you ever connect to their network, since I think they ban modded devices from their systems. You can probably get an inexpensive region-free dvd player that only needs a software (remote code) hack from almost anywhere. Blu-Ray , on the other hand...those are expensive and require a hardware hack also.

Never too late do come again. *:)*
Our part of it is just beautiful right now in early autumn. Lovely clear days in the low 20's C, cool nights around 10C. Trees dressed in reds and yellows. (But not the eucalypts, they're always green.)
Very nice. :D

Irishman's right about Playstations, as far as I know if you modify them in any way you're basically stuffed. *:|*
Although one of my DVD players is a Sony and that was multi region when I bought it. Possibly there's a difference between the PAL and NTSC systems as far as regions are concerned.

Anyone looking for the codes to make a DVD player/recorder multi region, this is the site I used for my LG recorder.

Very easy to do. *:)*

Thanks for the comments on the region free topic. I changed an ODD drive which I was not using anymore in a region 1 device. It seems you can change this 4 times.
