Saw Room In Rome last night. It was okay, I guess. Some of the dialogue was a bit cringey.

I don't think FA need lose any sleep over it. :P

I originally thought the dialogue was bad, but it occurred to me that it was what I'd expect from two people speaking their second languages to one another in such a situation.

Still don't know if I should buy Room In Rome.
I mean, I'd like to be able to justify it to myself by the story line and character development being really good.
How can I be such a wuss?

On the other hand 2001 is an absolute classic.
That scene where he's descending to Mars, it took four tries at watching before I could stay awake for the whole scene.

Strangely that's about the time I stopped going to the pub before I went to the movies.
Coincidence or what? :T

Kubrick films are special. They are always great to look at and there is a purpose behind every shot - 2001 is no exception.

You are right! Also A clockwork orange is one of my favourites. There is one exception. Eyes wide shut was a real disapointment, but that's maybe because I think Tom Cruise is a really bad actor. :T *:|*

 And I like Eyes Wide Shut especially because of Tom & Nicole's acting. I think the weakness in the film was the huge exposition by Sydney Pollack's character at the end, which was not really necessary to the the message of the film. Still, I can understand people not liking Tom Cruise.

Soul Surfer...AnnaSophia Robb was phenomonal in it! I loved it! Based on a true story!

What am I saying?
It was the descent into Jupiter.
Shows how wide awake I wasn't.

Clockwork Orange was great.
And Nicole's great in everything now that she doesn't have to put up with Tom. *:)* :)P

Tom Cruise is a mission impossible in itself.

No way could I even sit through Mission Impossible.
I thought it was a mediocre rewrite relying on special effects rather than the basics. You know, things like a good script, good character development, something likeable for the audience to empathise with ....... the usual stuff.

Now, something like The Hours.
Brilliant story, well told, great characters, actors who got the chance to act. Image
