I think that Alexandra was probably just a "crazy mixed-up kid" when she was giving those interviews. I've read one interview (with a gay organisation) where she does not rule out the possibility that she is bi, and our fellow poster Aimee is also convinced she's bi, so what? (No disrespect intended, Aimee.) Alexandra was an actress playing a part - we can talk all we want about Elin's sexuality, but can't we leave Alexandra's private life alone?
Alexandra and Rebecka must have got very close in the claustrophobic atmosphere of the film shoot (hey, isn't that called the "Stockholm syndrome" anyway?). If you look closely at the "football team" crew photo, you will even see that thay are holding hands behind Alexandra's back (...så söt!). And afterwards, when they appeared in public together they were still expected to "play their parts" and hold hands and kiss, so no wonder there is all this speculation.
Please understand that I don't want this to sound like "of course she's straight and anyone who thinks she is gay or bi is a pervert" - just to demonstrate that point, I am a guy who knows from experience that Alexandra was wrong when she said that girls kiss better than guys!

I'm among those who doesn't care about either actress' sexual orientation. However, I just wanted to comment about the possibility of Alexandra and Rebecca getting close on the set of FÅ. I really don't think they did. In a transcript of a cyberchat that Rebecca had with fans, she seemed to indicate that she and Alexandra had a cordial relationship on the set of FÅ but weren't close or great friends or anything like that. (She also stated in the same chat that she is heterosexual. She has always struck me as being forthright, so I believe her.) I thought that the English translation of the transcript was linked from this message board, but I've looked here & on other sites and can't find the link..sorry.
As for the "football" picture, it seems clear to me that Alexandra is holding her hands behind her back. Rebecca's arms do appear at rather odd angles--I guess that's how the camera "caught" her--but I seriously doubt that she was holding Alexandra's hand. Her arm is partially blocked by the hair of the man sitting, and I think this makes it appear to be more outstretched than it is, especially since she's wearing loose sleeves. And, at the angle that Alexandra is holding her arm, I really doubt that Rebecca could've reached her hand.

It is SO obvious that there was some chemistry between Alexandra and Rebecca. I read a lot of interviews and looked on the kot of pictures where are the two of them and I must say they look like a happy couple. Ofcourse that they will say (although Alexandra said that she is a bi) they are heterosexual, that's all buisness.

Rebecka Liljeberg is definitly heterosexual. She is together with David Flamholc (11 years older than her) and lives together with him in Stockholm
Alexandras case is somewhat more funny as she has sayed that she loves Rebecka (!) but she also loves a boy. She also said that she loves a girl who is the best friend of Alexandra and that they once kissed each other but she couldn't imagine having sex with her. Nonetheless Alexandra always said that her sexual orientation is her private thing, and she don't mind beeing called bi, lesbo or hetero. In fact she enjoyed the time on a gay-lesbian festival....
To conclude : Her sexual orientation is her secret, but as beeing lesbian myself, I would guess that if she isn't lesbian.
Anyway, I also dream of her and "hope" that she is bisexuell (kinda delusion for myself)...

Thanks for the welcome, Lara. I only managed to see FA a few weeks back, though it's been on my wish list ever since I noticed it when it was still in the IMDb Top 250 list (don't know why, maybe something to do with the name that caught my attention 
). It immediately went to the top of my favourite movies list, and I bought the US DVD - not too impressive, but the only thing I could get with English subtitles.
