She's cute whoever she is.

I'm tickled pink by this: I've been watching The Bill on dvd for years on end one ep a week but in 7 weeks will run out of eps from the old releases (which stopped when the company went bust). But someone else started last year and at the start of March their releases are going to catch up and surpass where I was. I won't even have to miss a week! *:)*

"a turnip for the books" , what does this mean?

Just because we can communicate in your mother tounge doesn't mean we're familiar with every expression

I think this is true especially for our eastern-european friends here

relax. :) Dave is just having a linguistic joke at my expense. The saying (in English) is ''a turnout for the books'' i.e. ''that comes as no surprise''

Dave (I don't know if he meant this intentionally, if he did he is a super-intelligent being) he turned ''turnout'' into ''turnip'' a root vegetable, a cousin of which (in English) we call the ''swede'' Mmmm mashed swede tastes good :)

cryptic, but funny. To an English person. Apologies to anyone else who doesn't get the joke *:|*

Can i go for the 'super-intelligent being' option, and let's just ignore the fact I forgot this is an international forum where English 'puns' [or wordplay] may not be understood?

For some reason, I was hugely amused to read that Daniel Radcliffe has basically no contact at all with Rupert Grint (who played Harry's best friend Ron for 10 years) but still texts with Emma all the time.

I always thought that guy was smart. :P

That censored-telegram subliminal message thing is cool, Syd Fish; what's its provenance? Did you make it?
