I couldn't find it.
But in its usual style Facebook was able to come up with about 8,000 completely unrelated people I might want to be friends with.

No...sorry. It was just a Google image that I hadn't seen before and a reference to a French Facebook account. Might not even be current.

Ima not convinced. Her main activity seems to be collecting ''Friends'' I dunno. It's seems like a form of ''pyramid selling'' to me. I might test the water, but there doesn't seem to be any original news forthcoming. Good luck to her, but it ain't Pauline fersure.

Perhaps it's just a coincidence of names [like that other French girl with the amazing white hair] and she was posting about how everyone thinks she's 'Marie from NdP' ...? The image is definitely a very young Acquart, though, which is odd.

Anyway I can only hope the glorious Mlle. Acquart is well and happy, that she is concluding her studies and juggling whatever acting projects she can squeeze in around them, and that she is able to sustain her very wise and successful media blackout until such time as she can undertake another major project.

Whether or not she ever reads this, some part of her will know that people all over the world saw what she did in NdP, and are wishing her well, and thanking her for having made such a contribution to world culture.

Personally, I just wish to God that there was a public domain birth time, so I could try to understand what that fifteen-year-old girl did there; how she could so powerfully represent the archetypal feelings of everybody who has ever fallen hopelessly in love/lust for the first time...I pray that the birth data will emerge at some point.

Have you been able to retrieve your DVD of NdP yet? The audition footage there seems to show some sort of natural chemistry between them

I've yet to retrieve the DVD, but made a point of watching the deleted scenes, and I agree. "When I have my first kiss I will close my eyes and think of you' - whoa!

The scene where Anne is comforting Marie is my fave tho' -

Chez Maupassant was first on TV in 2007.
Pauline seems to have only been in one episode, "Une partie de campagne", in 2011 as Henriette Dufour.

(Can't find her birthday anywhere yet though. )

There seems to be a careful and rigorously-enforced media blackout around Pauline, and probably very good reason for it; if the reaction of someone on another forum where I posted the Radiohead/Water Lilies fanvid is at all typical, ['soft child porn', FFS ] there may have been a lot of undesirable interest after NdP.

LUCO: A new poem by me, dedicated to the actor Pauline Acquart.



It was in the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris, 2006, that the unknown, untried, 15-year old Pauline, was accidentallly ‘discovered’ by the Casting director for the film ‘Naissance des Pieuvres’. The gardens, commonly called "Le Luco" by Parisians, has extensive walkways to stroll and linger. One of the walkways is mentioned in a poem by Gerard de Nerval entitled ‘An Avenue of Luxembourg’: Elle a passé, la jeune fille [...] Parfum, jeune fille, harmonie... Le bonheur passait, il a fui ! [She passes-by, the girl [...] Perfume, girl, harmony ...Happiness passed-by, he ran!]

Enraptured looks so natural
In casual teened apparel
A dappled day in the Sun
Careless of the time for fun

Deep in fairytale landscape
Unlocked dreams escape
