Perhaps we should not assume, simply because l'Acquart is such a star to us, that this status is acknowledged by the rest of the world - or, at least, not in any bankable or financial sense.

NdP, despite its rapturous critical reception, didn't do big box office [outside of France, anyway...?] and none of the smaller films since will have been big earners either. There is thus a distinct possibility that L'Acquart is as skint as any other student just finishing uni...although I hope not, it doesn't seem fair...and a bit of recycling, as per this pic, would then make sense.

I hasten to add that this is all pure speculation and supposition and probably bears no resemblance whatsoever to actual reality. O-)

Welcome to my world. :T :P

Pauline the red.

BTW the guy on Pauline's right is Phénix Brossard.
He's the guy who took the "kiss on the train" pic I posted a while back.

There, that was an exciting bit of info, wasn't it? :Z

Also BTW.
About a week ago I recorded a film called "The Edge" on World Movies Channel.
And yes, it's actually La Lisière. 8)
Might watch it toniight. *:)*

Ok, let me start with La Lisière.
Although she has a relatively minor role there are plenty of good screen-cap opportunites if I can find it on YT or something.

As for the film, I kept thinking "(a) this is either a really dumb film, or (b) it's really good and I've just missed the point of it".
I couldn't understand why this pack of kids was roaming in the woods all night and why they were harassing the new doctor.

Movie finished, I went to bed.
2:00 am I woke up.
Of course.
The doctor bought the car that was used in the hit-and-run that killed one of the kids.
And they thought it was him driving.

My assessment moved a little from (a) towards (b).

An OK film, not great, but not dumb either.

Took me ages to get back to sleep. :Z

Well, yes, that would certainly constitute a motive. :P

Love that black-lightning earring, very á propos for the queen of our thread.

I hope to see L'Autre Sang at some point [somehow].

Benedict Cumberbatch's birthday is the day after l'Acquart's [putative] July 18th one...and he has a slightly strange beauty, too. 8)

Phénix is a lucky guy to be l'Acquart's friend, and I doubt that he is actually as mean as he looks in this part.

For some unexplainable reason I think of Daniel Mays' face when I'm trying to place Ben.
I guess he just looks like a Cumberbatch. :T :P

I'm still looking for a good quality vid of La Lisière to make some screencaps.
Anyone know where to find one? (HD would be nice.)

And I think Phénix is a bit of a pussycat who has the right look to play "mean and nasty" in films. 8)

I watched 'Au 7eme Jour' again too, just recently. It's an excellent short film, and l'Acquart is [as above] adorable in it, but it doesn't get any less sad...

PS for 'sad', read 'harrowing'.

Hardly took any time at all.
Have you made a graph yet of the "Viewer Acceleration Rate"? :P

My, how young she was back then. That's really harrowing.

That's from casting, so our little star had probably only just turned fifteen, if that. Au 7eme Jour was, what, two years later, max? And she is well on the way to being the tall, even statuesque beauty of this pic;

Ummm...yes?  But it really needs a calendar line at the x-axis to see the increasing rate of views properly.

11k views in 10 months averages about 1k/month, obviously; but the rate of views, as you so incisively note, is still on the increase. *:)*

On August 8th, for example, it was only a paltry 6k :|

Hey, all youse Acquartian lurkers and viewers!

Will none of you post? I know you're there, no way our tiny active membership could generate all these views.

Does this amazing girl's work not greatly deserve a wider global profile?

Post, damn you, post, and tell us why you came here, why you like her.

It's not that hard to get membership here.
