Fucking Åmål at the Kaarinan nuorisoteatteri (Kaarina Youth Theatre), not that far away (250 km) from my place, and I've missed the whole thing.

Well, they say at the info page that you can contact the producer and ask them to perform at a location of your choice.

Yeah, I thought the same.

It looks really great. Actually, a review I read said that it did capture the look and the atmosphere of the film very well. Although the writer was kind of a fan, and it was the only review I could find...

Nevertheless, now we just have to wait for Ian to get them to Townsville or Adelaide and have fish film the whole thing so we all can see it! *:)*

It looks, from the pictures, like it was a good show, and the girls seems to match the characters pretty alright too.

The girl who plays Agnes does look a lot like Rebecka, its uncanny.
The other girl playin Elin not as much. But looks cute anyway

Plus the look of age not in their mid 20's like past adaptions.

Was the German Theatre Version bad Katka?
i read past treads on here some who saw it loved it some not as much

I'd love to do a Theatre version of Fucking Amal as its pretty easy to adapt to the stage, as its pretty smart written film and would work very well as its go amazing dialogue(Love to do a version of Moodysson's Together as well). I think just keeping it fresh with Todays music, clothing and Mobile phones and other media is important but you could sent it back in the late 90's as well.
Love for some footage of stage versions of Fucking Amal to be put up on Youtube .

Love that they changed the title to the city where they staged the play plus the poster is pretty damn cool. Seems like a real professional job done on that version.
What country was the play running?
