I was looking for recent stuff about Bex when I spied an advertisement for the "new release" of Sherdil.
Took me ages to w*rk out that the website's idea of something "new" was about 8 years old.

I can imagine it - Moonbeam herself, on here, telling us she's really just an ordinary person, perhaps chiding us a little for obsessing [however flattering it may be]...while we all goggle like little children and say, Yes, Rebecka...she is very self-possessed and no-nonsense, but also very kind; everybody falls in love with her all over again, twice as hard...

oh NO!! Now the gossip-mag researchers have spotted the thread!! It's going viral on YouTube, tumblur, Twatter and FascBeuk...strangers are talking about it on the train and in pubs...cartoonista are ribbing Fish mercilessly by depicting him as ever-more-unlikely marine species, sat at a wonky desktop PC...Then And Now articles begin to proliferate in the mainstream press, with mean pictures...

Bex's hard-won peace and [relative] anonymity is shattered - international paparrazzi and dirt-digging reporters are everywhere again, vile as a plague of cockroaches - the old nightmare is back - Moonbeam posts a sad little farewell, forgiving us and telling us not to worry -

But we know that it's ALL OUR FAULT.
