I think Joss Whedon said that part of the inspiration for the episode was that he was just so sick of writing bloody dialogue. :lol:

Still enjoying The Returned and The Tunnel. Clemence Poesy is actually very good (and frequently very funny) as Elise in the latter; I get the distinct sense that Elise is a bit of an Aspie; she really doesn't understand social etiquette in the slightest; even when she does use it (and doesn't just baffle or unintentionally offend), it's with the distinct undertone that she doesn't remotely comprehend why she's saying what she's saying. It's very amusing, actually. :lol:

Have you seen the original, the danish/swedish Bron/Broen (The Bridge)
It should be easily available with subs, since it's been sold to most countries worldwide.

No; I'm not sure I really see the point of watching two version of the same story, and while ordinarily I'd go for the original, Clemence Poesy was in this one. :mrgreen: :P :oops:

Buffy: A New Man. Buffy's birthdays are invariably an excuse for all hell breaking loose, but it's Giles who gets it worst this year, when the return of his former friend turned nemesis Ethan Rayne sees him put under a spell that literally turns him into a monster. This is a very funny episode with some great lines and moments (I'm particularly fond of Giles' "Bloody humans!" and him making Spike stop the car just so he can get out and scare the hell out of Maggie Walsh for no reason other than he doesn't like her :lol: ).

Ally McBeal: Saving Santa. Georgia kicking the crap out of an enraged bunch of midgets dressed as elves probably isn't very PC... just VERY funny. :lol:

It's been such a long time since I've seen Ally (10 years for this particular season!) I'd almost forgotten how much fun it is. :mrgreen:

I haven't seen it since it first aired, and I didn't watch it regularly, but from what I remember, yeah it was pretty funny. :)

David Kelly made some excellent shows around that time (probably still does, just haven't seen any newer stuff).
Loved The Practise and Boston Legal eg. :D

X Files: Our Town. A missing person's case leads Mulder and Scully to discover that the good people of Dudley, Arkansas, home of "Chaco's Chicken" have been eating more than just poultry in this wonderfully nauseating and visceral episode. Gotta love that the slogan of Chaco's Chicken is "Good People, Good Food". :lol: Delicious. :mrgreen:

Remember that Sigur Ros MV I flagged up, directed by Floria Sigismondi and featuring John Hawkes and Elle Fanning?

So this is interesting too;

LA Times, speaking of the upcoming Sundance, wrote:"Low Down." Directed by Jeff Preiss and based on Amy Jo Albany's memoir of life in on-the-skids L.A. with her father, legendary jazz pianist Joe Albany, this evocative film benefits from actors who never set a foot wrong: Elle Fanning and John Hawkes.

I remember thinking at the time that I hoped they[Hawkes&Fanning]'d do a full feature soon... 8)
