My God, she's controlling the weather now?...

From what I understand all of England and probably half of Europe too is now under either snow or water.
And here in South Australia it's bone dry and looking forward (?) to another week of extreme heat.
Bex certainly has a lot to answer for.

And yet she still won't let me have any new pics.

Explanation #1.....
The thing about trees is this.
They can be very big and when they become stressed by wind (tick), heat (tick), or lack of water (also tick) they're liable to drop a few branches.

And the thing about power lines is this.
In most places here they're on poles above ground, not safely tucked away in trenches underground where they should be.

You see where I'm heading with this?
A few hours ago we lost all power through a falling branch taking out the cables.
It's only just come back on, which I might add is better than some of those suburbs which lost power last Tuesday due to the gale force winds.
Some had no electricity for three days.

It's been lovely here, fishy.

Most of the South and West of England is now underwater, glub glub, but fortunately I don't live there and they all voted for this Government so it serves them right could it be worse? well apparently in Northern Sweden they recorded overnight temperatures of -40 Centigrade yesterday. No extreme heat here, of course, but it's very dry because of lack of precipitation (snow), which, with help from open fire and wind, causes great forrest fires.
The day after I wrote about last fire, a new one arose on a different place.
It's been ridiculous lately, 4 big forrest fires within a week, and a total ban of all open fire has been appointed, with a fine of 1500£ for any offenses.

Plus 40C is crap but at least you can survive in it for more than a few minutes.

Some lowlife was arrested here on Friday for starting 7 fires in parks close to houses.
Some real idiots around, that's for sure.
