I still wasn't keen. Better for the most part, but stupid ending that rendered the whole thing moot!

DMt. [fairly] recently wrote:Filming of Les Revs S2 has been put back because of problems with the scripting, apparently... :?

More news on S2 via the L Chat...

http://s1.zetaboards.com/L_Anon/topic/5064588/8/

"A couple of weeks after the flooding, life returns in the village now controlled by authorities. The survivors of la Main Tendue/Helping Hand are the only ones who know of the existence of the Returned. Some of them are ready to do anything to find them."

"...Re French version: I know we don't have any news about the second season, but it looks that the writers are working very quietly, without any fuss and I think it's a good thing. Very fresh (from July) interview with Mogwai:

Q: You have produced two soundtrack albums in later years for the film ‘Zidane’ and the French TV series “Les Revenants.” You see yourself doing more of that in the future?

M: Definitely. We’re doing the second series of “Les Revenants,” and we’re talking to people regarding some films. We’re definitely very excited about that.

So I think it's safe to say that the filming with actors will start very soon..."

Good news about Les Rev.
I only hope it's as good as the first series.

Picky, picky, picky.
I thought we'd have lowered your standards enough by now. :P

Never, sir, never! :D

Well, at least there's some movement on The Returned finally!

Uh, filming is tentatively scheduled for early 2015, I gathered. Or possibly wool-gathered...

Hopefully it means that the quality at least won't suffer.
By not rushing it, I mean.

Callan: Death of a Hunter. Callan is arrested on suspicion of treason... or is he? In fact, he's in the hands of enemy agents pretending to be his own people. Brutally tortured and drugged up to the nines, Callan is left convinced that his own boss is a traitor and murderer - and only then is he allowed to "escape".... One hell of a season finale (and the end of the black and white era) and holy CRAP what a cliffhanger! :o
Really glad I took a punt on this, it's still an excellent show. Now I've got to wait for the next set to come!

The X Files: Home. X Files goes Texas Chainsaw Massacre in possibly the most disturbing and infamous episode of the series. Mulder and Scully are called to a seemingly picture perfect little town after the discovery of the body of a newborn baby afflicted with seemingly every genetic disorder known to man, and soon hear about the backward Peacock family, who live on the outskirts of town and, as the Sheriff puts it, "breed their own stock, if you know what I mean..." Ewwww. A seriously grotesque episode!

The Bill: The Short Straw. One of the show's original characters, WDC Viv Martella, goes out with a bang in this shocking episode, gunned down in the street by armed robbers, which also leads to a really hairy-looking car chase with an explosive finish. The series celebrated its 1000th episode with this cracker of an episode. Sadly, Viv will not be the last longstanding character to depart during this season...

The Bill. When an idiot judge throws out a case against a violent offender who left a young police officer crippled, an enraged DS Roach is determined to make the criminal pay for his crime - no matter how many rules or laws he has to break to do so. Good episode with Ted on typically fiery form.

The Bill: Punch Drunk. The legendary DS Ted Roach exits the series after nine years in typically fiery fashion; Roach's career is on the line after being brought in following a brutal bar fight over a woman. Burnside pulls every stroke he can think of to try and rescue the situation, but when Roach's temper gets the better of him again, there is no saving him... Note to prospective policemen: Decking a senior officer is NOT the best way to advance your career.

Finished Buffy season 5 again last night with the final three episodes. Simply superb; stunning television. Particularly remarkable is the sense of sheer desperation of our heroes, especially in the very last episode; Giles has already been badly wounded, Tara has been reduced to a vegetable, and Glory already has Dawn, with not just her life but the fate of the whole world hanging in the balance if this seemingly invincible "God" isn't stopped; rarely have our guys' backs seemed quite so much against the wall.
Love it to bits. *:)* :D
