It's been on pay TV quite a few times here in Australia as "The Edge".
I watched it once but haven't been bothered to watch it again.

I thought the story was borderline OK but sadly the Acquart quotient was very low.
A couple of quick scenes but mainly she's just one of a bunch of nondescript characters in the background.
Not a good closeup to be found. :(

It had English subs and I would have thought there'd be dvd's around the place for sale, probably as "The Edge" unless you buy from France.

Billionaire has a lot more potential as Pauline is playing the lead, but there's an awful lot of risk that the film to fail when you think about it.
I mean, a road movie about the USA made in a studio in Austria.
Still, I'll be buying it as soon as I can, even if it's just for the pics. *:)*

And this is where I found Blanche Neige dvd's for sale. http://www.axesud.eu/spip.php?article110&menu_on=2
I'm still waiting too.
I had an email a week ago with tracking details but all it could tell me was that it had left the country.
Hopefully I'll have it in my hot little hands in the next few days.

I dunno so much, Fish, there's more interest in 'art house' movies these days, I reckon.

Lots of people [such as myself] are sick and tired of Hollywood clichés and moronic tropes, and looking for more original and imaginative material.

I'd find it hard to be glad for l'Acquart G if she got suck[er]ed into la-la land on some POS action movie or rom-com.

In fact I'd be worried for her, like an anxious grand-dad...

I'm with you all the way there Dave.
I'd love Billionaire to be a huge success, especially in Europe rather than la-la land.
Then maybe lots more lead roles. *:)* :D

Perhaps I'm just fearful it'll be a little too art house for Edgar's target audience.

Didja ever see The Science of Sleep...? It was a rather kooky love story, and I don't know how successful it was, in commercial terms at least; but Michel Gondry [dir] pushed the boat out further than I've ever seen it done, with fantasy sequences done in fabric and so on. La Gainsbourg was adorable in it too; but on paper it must, like this one, have been a pretty tough sell.

Edgar H has apparently spent 13 years trying to get Billionaire made, and must surely, like us, be very happy to have l'Acquart starring in it - and personally I just love the idea of hand-painted sequences unrolling behind the actors, worked by cardinals [!], sounds like a sort of animation crossover...

Oh, and Pauline? Your coffee's arrived, love.

DMT , you who speak French.
You could find the manuscript or subtitles (better ). In any language. I 'll translate it. ?
Look for slightly. If you are looking for long time, leave it.

Thanks

DMT, Are you from Canada?

I can't either!

Whoa! I'm sorry if I give the impression I can really speak French, Santi...I am in the same situation as you are with English, using my schoolboy French and Google translate to get by...real French people speak so fast I can't understand, for example I had to slow down Water Lilies to half speed in VLC to hear the real dialogue rather than the subtitles.

I can't find it anywhere...I even emailed M. Doux, the director of Au 7eme Jour, to ask if the script was available at all, but I never got a reply. *:|*

I've never seen it.
Maybe I should do a little research, eh?

Guess which lucky little duck had a certain courier delivery yesterday? *:)* *:)* *:)*

Haven't had a chance to watch it all yet, just a bit of a skim through.
It has about 15 mins of assorted interviews at the end.
I think it's the version that disappeared from Youtube a couple of years ago.

But now its all mine.
Mine I tells ya. *:)* :T *:)*

A very rough chance. :P

Lydia leaves the museum to escape on her adventure. *:)*

And unless Edgar or Serene or Ho Leng are nice to me, she's left us for the time being too. :(

So I guess I'd better start making some new Blanche Neige pics.
Did I mention I now own the dvd? :P *:)*
