Hey Clara,

I have a perfect example of David Brent in work, who talks a load of shit and thinks that he's "it", but everybody hates him <_<

One example about how David Brent he is, is one time me and few friends got kicked out of a club before by these Bouncer's and they would'nt let me in to get my jacket (which to me is like a womans purse as it contains everything I own) . So I was'nt going anywhere until I got my jacket back (so I was outside being really annoying hehe)...

This guy, who is called Richard Byard goes in a gets my jacket and hes going on about that he's used all his favours from stopping me getting beating to a pulp, and my other friend Mark is calming me down and sorting my head, and then he comes out that hes killed 11 people for the government and he doe'nt want to make me number 12  At the end of his little speech, me and my mate just laughed in his face and told him to f**k off B)

Another time he actually called himself Richard Diehard on this database in work, which when accessed, his name would come up as that.... How we laughed

How David Brent can you get!!! :D

Anyway, would anyone like to add to this thread about stupid people in work...

Cheers from Wales,

Sty

Hej hej,

I hope that "Richard Bryard" does not visit this site. ;) Well, he probably does not! The person you are discribing is not the person who would be interested in this movie. <_<
All in all, you already laughed in his face, so this statement should be published on the intranet at your work. B)

Well, then my work. I wouldn't dare to mention names. But all in all it is very obvious that I am the person who is very different to anyone else really. I don't try to be the same. Moreover, I really do not want to be the same. These persons are always complaining about how much they earn and trying to be the best over the head of an other person. It is sometimes really hard to stay into controll. I look at life in a totally other way that staying in controll sometimes does not work out. I sometimes wonder why people are putting down other people during a 40 year period at work and after their working lifetime they slowly prepare for death. My opinion is that you have to really LIVE in those 40 years, because this is the best period in your life. You work to live!!!! You don't live to work!!!! But that's my opinion.

I know for a fact that he would'nt be interested in this film; he's too Neanderthal

I'd proabably say that I'm also different to most of the people who I work with... On casual days, a lot of people will be wearing smart casual clothes, whereas I will be wearing some obscure Black Metal t-shirt B)

Also, I have a very strong Cardiff accent which makes me stand out more as I tend to drag out my words, so when I'm talking to my T/L or C/M I sometimes have odd stares from them :D

Hey Sty,

We have a boss who really thinks he is funny in that David Brent cheesy kind of way....... He's just not funny......When we all want to go to the pub or out for a meal, we try to arrange it for when he is out of the office, 'cos he invites himself and then pisses everybody off with his crap jokes and "look at me, I'm the life and soul of the party" mentality
And when he comes over to talk to us workers at our desks, we all try to look anywhere but at him, because he makes us feel uneasy and we just want him to go away. He thinks he's everybody's mate, but he isn't. He really does make me cringe....

But we also have the the people who will do anything to grovel to further their own agenda. It makes me sick. They suck up to our boss and act like he's the dog's bollocks, and he believes it, thus making his own ego trip behaviour worse  No, that's something I will not do.......

I still haven't seen "The Office". :P They show it on BBC America, but I don't have it. I'll probably have to rent or buy the DVDs...
