Buffy. 'Band Candy' is just hilarious, the "adults reverting to their teenage selves" episode. Anthony Head as 'punk rocker' Giles ("Oo, copper's got a gun!") and Armin Shimerman as a nerdy, desperate-to-be-liked-by-the-cool-kids Principal Snyder ("Woah, Summers, you drive like a SPAZ!" are comedy genius.

Watched ''101 Rekjavik'' last night. Same director as Jar City but very different genre, almost opposite i.e. witty surreal humour. I enjoyed it. A funny and fascinating insight into Icelandic social culture. No trees, no insects, no birds. ''30 degrees below zero, five hours of daylight, what else can you do but get wrecked" as the film blurb says.

X Files - War of the Coprophages. It possibly gets a little too silly for it's own good toward the end, but in general, this is a barking mad, wildly imaginative, hysterical comedy classic.

Having not received my Sugar Rush dvd's I sent a curt little e-mail to the seller who politely explained that two to six days was just how long it took them to post it, not how long till it arrived in my hot little hands.

Several hours later I received a more conciliatory e-mail saying they would send it "registered express mail" immediately. Just five minutes ago, barely 16 hours since the e-mail, I scrawled my name with what looked like a plastic stick onto something that looked like a mobile phone and a little man gave me a parcel containing my dvd's of Sugar Rush.

And who said wingers never win?

I'm off to veg out in front of the tv for a while.

I'm a bit sugared out at the moment having watched the entire first series. It's nice to have days like this every now and then when there is absolutely nothing else needing your urgent attention and you can just make a nice arse groove in the lounge. Sweeet!

I'm watching Sapphire & Steel at the moment, the late 70s/early 80s series with David McCallum and Joanna Lumley. It's very weird, but very good. Basically ghost stories with SF trappings, very atmospheric and spooky.

I'll be lending my copies of Kamakaze Girls and Sugar Rush for a week or so, so I thought I'd better spend a bit of time with them both tonight.

Honestly, both shows are just SO good.
