Do you think that Elin and Agnes' love lasted through school? Yes or No and explain why.
I love Agnes!

realistically, that's doubtful. I reckon one of them fucks it all up and makes the other one go crazy

i agree with both points of view. id love to THINK that they live happily ever after but it doesnt work like that most of the time. i say they stay together for maybe a year and a half, tops. like, it could go from 3months to that. elin just seems so.. flighty, you know? doesnt know what she wants.. and agnes seems like she could be quite the 'obsessive' and 'jealous' type. an elin is the flirty type, the party girl. sometimes being completely opposite is a good thing, but most likely it's bad.

I must agree with *blond*, Agnes can act quite "latino" sometimes

I also believe that the ending is hopeful. It is clear that it will last a while, it's just too obvious that they've found it each other because they're just what they needed. Some people say that Elin probably would ditch Agnes the next morning like she ditched Johan, but they just don't get the film. The price she paid is so high, it shows that she's serious. But how long exctaly - does it really matter...? I think I love the ending so much because, well as Elin says, it doesn't. The most important thing has already been done and it can never be taken away from them. They have rocked their world, this will always be theirs.

Nope! Romeo and Juliet, Casablanca, Dangerous Liaisons, Life Is Beautiful, It's All About Love, Chasing Amy, Breathless, My Life Without Me... and I'm on your side... But not here... Please leave that precious last smile of Agnes's untouched by tragedy... *sob*.

Yes yes, that's what I meant! He was actually good! I think he's been alright exactly twice in his life - in Chasing Amy and in Shakespeare in Love. Apart from that he's one of the lousiest actors in the universe...

 Alright... looks over skills! We're way off topic here (which is a pity because it's an interesting one), but if you like, let's start something about the best-looking actors somewhere else!

Okay, I’ll try to bring this topic back on track myself. The question about the last scenes, whether it’s serious, whether it’s going to last for a reasonable time, is the source of never-ending disagreement. I’ve stated my opinion, but I always find it interesting to see what wildly different things other people manage to see in the last scene. I found this description of the O’boy scene at the imdb messageboard:

Elin's babbling on about the chocolate milk and Agnes' nervous giggling gives a subtle but clear indication of the inequality of their relationship and tells us almost more than we want to know about where that relationship is going. Elin seems already a bit bored by the situation, or maybe she's returning to her normal emotional state which is flatout wasted and bored-as-only-a-teenager-can-be... (...) who seems to share little of Agnes' excitement, and is cool enough to glibly analyze the family politics of making chocolate. It's easy to see how this relationship is going to go and I felt bad for Agnes.

Would you believe that! :o
