Love the first one, it could almost be a reaction to some of our posts.


I studied French for 5 years in high school. I can remember about four numbers and how to say "I am Ian" and that's it.

I had to phone my brother when he was on holiday in France.
Really worked hard on my "Je ne parle pas Française. Parlez vous Anglaise?"
The night porter in Paris answered the phone.
Me:....
Him: "Non."

Took me ten more minutes to get the right room.

And that was after only three years of high school French.
Glad I'm not planning to go to French Polynesia next holiday.
